1.1 Research Background and Significance探讨背景和意义
In the last century, most of Chinese students begin their English learning from middle school, andthere are little attention paid to the English educations for pupils even in the most advanced areas of china.But with the developing globle economy, the world is becoming smaller and smaller, and english, as aninternational language, has been used as a common way to communicate with each other. So now it hasbecome unvoidable that many companies and large enterprises tend to employ people who can speak morethan their native language, and thus english teaching for chinese students is playing a more important rolein our national education.Since the new curriculum reform of elementary and secondary schools in China has come into a newperiod now, the English curriculum reform in primary schools is in full swing now. accordingly, it isbecoming a common thing for most pupils to learn english at the third grade in primary schools and theprofessional english training instituations now are springing up. Thus the english teaching in elementaryschools is going to play a more and more important role.And during the process of the English curriculum reform in pramary schools, the improvement ofteachers’ teaching skills, as an necessary an part of teachers’ teachers’ self-development, has got more andmore attention, and since the classroom is the main base of teaching, some scholars and teachers haveundertaken some studies on the strategies of classroom management. As for the field of english languageteaching for pupils, many scholars and teachers lay emphasis on teachers’ classroom managementbehaviors. And because of the basic characteristics of the elementary english language teaching for pupils,studies on teachers’ coping methods with pupils’ classroom problem behaviors are of great importance forthe classroom management and can help teachers to create a good class of high-efficiency, in which pupilscan make best use of the class time to achive their learning objectives.

To tell the truth, the author has always been interested in the field of reading strategies, and still now.But in the past several months, the author really got close to being a teacher, it is far more than a job, butan art mixed of preparing for lessons, teaching in class, checking students’ homework, communicating andinteracting with students in and after class, and even discussing about students’ studies and lives with theirparents. But what stroke me most is classroom management, one field to which the author paid no attentionbefore.Now more and more teachers hold the opinion that when they prepare for a lesson, they should takenot only students and teaching materials but also the students’ possible behaviors into consideration.
