摘要：
随着在科学，政治，贸易，英语论文网站，英语毕业论文，管理和文化等方面国际交流的增加，中国政治词汇的英译显得越来越重要。此文着重研讨中国特色政治词汇的英译。本文通过大量的实例来略论政治词汇翻译如何在意义和风格两个方面达到最贴切的自然等值。本文由五部分组成。第一部分是介绍。第二部分是对于中国政治词汇英译的近况以及存在的问题。第三部分是全文的理论基础,介绍和解释奈达的功能对等理论。奈达的功能对等理论强调译文与原文在文体与意义两个方面的动态对等,同时也强调译文读者对译文所表达信息的反应与原文读者对原文所表达的相同信息的反应大致相同。这部分也讨论了功能对等理论跟中国政治词汇英译的联系。第四部分，作者提出了以功能对等理论为基础的中国政治词汇英译准则。最后进行简短的总结，并对以后的探讨方向提出了一些看法。本论文的重要性体现在其通过功能对等理论和中国政治词汇英译的案例所归纳出的一些有意义的建议,结果旨在达到流畅交换政治信息的有效性和可行性。

Abstract：
With the increasing international exchanges in science, politics, trade, management and culture, the English translation of Chinese political words is more and more important. This paper focuses on the Chinese-English translation of political words. Based on detailed exemplification, this thesis aims to study how functional equivalence can be achieved in political documentation translation in terms of meaning and style. The thesis is composed of five parts. The first part is introduction. The second part concerns the current situation of English translation of Chinese political words and existing problems. As the theoretic basis of the thesis, the third part is the introduction and explanation of Nida’s functional equivalence theory. Nida emphasizes first in terms of meaning and secondly in terms of style, as well as the degree to which the receptors of the message in the receptors language respond to the message performed in target language should be the same as the degree to which the receptors in the source language respond to the message performed in source language. And the relation between functional equivalence theory and the English translation of Chinese political words is also to be discussed in this part. In part four, the author proposed the principles of English translation of Chinese political words based on Functional Equivalence Theory. At last, a brief conclusion is given. It gives a hint to the future direction of this field. The significance of this thesis lies in the meaningful suggestions induced from the functional equivalence and political words translation. The effectiveness of smooth political message exchanges through translation is the goal of this thesis.
