Abstract
With the help of the Functional Equivalence Theory, this paper aims at summarizing suitable pun-translation methods via analyzing puns and their translations in The Big Bang Theory.
Through studying the principles of Functional Equivalence Theory, which are the equivalence of words and phrases, of sentences and structures, of sections and chapters and of writing styles, different types of pun translation from the Big Bang Theory would be discussed and analyzed. To achieve the consonance and unity of meaning and forms in pun translation of film and television programs, methods of translation based on pronunciation, construction and signification are drawn, such as literal translation, paraphrase and annotation, etc..

通过探讨功能对等理论提出的词汇、句法、篇章和文体等方面的对等，对《生活大爆炸》中不同类型的双关语进行译文略论，由此得出了以音、形、意为出发点的翻译措施，英语论文，如：直译、意译、注释等，以求影视剧双关语翻译达到意义与形式的和谐统一。

Since 2017, American shows “The Big Bang Theory” came into view of the Chinese audience. Characters of copious individuality, frequent comedy conflicts as well as witty and humorous dialogues attract a large number of Chinese fans. To some extent, the pun translation in this show, which is an indispensable jewel in the crown of this TV show, brings a refreshing cultural experience to the audience.
A pun is a humorous use of a word in such a way as to suggest two or more of its meanings or the meaning of another word similar in sound. Pun vests certain words or sentences a dual meaning, or oblique accusations, or an ulterior motive in a specific language environment, which enhances the vitality of language and improves the delight of implication and humor.
