【摘要】中国和西方国家的节日及其习俗有着比较明显的异同。本文充分利用探讨性课程这个载体,在英语教学中,通过对中西方不同节日及其比较的探讨,研讨了中西“节日文化”的英语教学策略,旨在帮助学生提高鉴别、鉴赏异国文化的能力,加深对本国文化的理解和认识。 【关键词】英语教学 中西方 节日文化 交融 对比 传统节日是各地区、民族、国家的政治、经济、文化、宗教等的总结和延伸,它体现了不同国家与民族的文化习俗,是一个民族生存形态最突出、最具特色的展示。了解中西方传统节日文化及其异同对了解西方国家的传统价值观念和深层文化心理具有举足轻重的影响,同时也可以提高学生对本国文化的敏感性,培养学生的爱国主义情怀。 一、渗透最具中华民族特色的节日文化 春节,俗称“过年”,按照我国农历的说法是正月初一,是“岁之元,月之元,时之元”,是一年的开始。它寄托着中国人对幸福生活的祈求和向往。 1.利用图片引出节日名称 2.改编JEFC Book3中的对话,以引起学生兴趣 A:Hi,Sunyan!What are you busy doing these days?
