ABSTRACT Rebecca is the masterpiece of Daphne du Maurier, one of the prominent British writers in the 20th century. The writer successfully creates some images: Rebecca, Maxim and “I”. By using the method of literary ethical criticism, this paper will analyze the conflict between Good and Evil to reveal the weakness and the loss of morals in the bourgeoisie civilization, and reflects the author’s seeking for the equal and noble love. Therefore, in the perspective of literary ethical criticism, it is valuable to learn Du Maurier’s life principle, moral principle and love principle by analyzing the ethical principles in Rebecca.
