This study examined the process of development of ballet in Jeollabuk-do by systematically looking into the introduction and development of ballet in Jeollabuk-do, focusing on ballet major in the universities in Jeollabuk-do. Ballet was introduced to Korea in between the time of enlightenment, the end of the 19th century and Japanese colonial era, and the basis of ballet in Korea was founded by returnee ballet dancers from Japan such as Im, Sung Nam and Jung, Ji Su before and after the Independence from the Japanese Occupation. After this, Korean ballet has established present status of development through the foundation and active works of professional ballet groups like Korean National Ballet and such professional education institute as the department of ballet in Ewha womans university. In Jeollabuk-do, ballet started at KimMiWha Dance Institute in 1945 and through dance classes in Sungsim womans mid-high school, the basis of ballet in Jeollabuk-do was formed. Following this, local universities started to open dance departments; in 1980, Wonkwang University, in 1988, Chonbuk University, and in 1989, Woosuk University, which made professional ballet education possible so that a professional ballet culture could form. In particular, dance education in university led to activities of dance groups that were mainly based in university. Dance groups from each university not only performed in local events, but also actively participated in national competitions. However, in 2011, there was a restructuring in universities and the dance department was closed in Wonkwang univ. and Woosuk univ. Therefore, Chonbuk University, the only national institute among the three, maintained the ballet education in the province. Although all the three universities have produced a multitude of professionals, the fact that only Chonbuk University has an alumni dance group shows how important the character of dance education field is. In 1990s, the collapse of Soviet Union and free international exchange brought about richness of ballet culture, which in turn influences demand on ballet for the sake of health and recreation. However, the reality of ballet education in Jeollabuk-do has not met the demand. Therefore, it is thought that it is necessary to open another professional ballet institute or education field in Jeollabuk-do. ,韩语论文题目,韩语论文题目 |
