This study aims to seek the efficient structure of Korean Textbook for English-speaking learners. For this, taking a look at representative Standard Curriculums and analyzing of textbooks which are based on each Standard Curriculum was performed. This article redesigned the levels of ‘Korean textbook for English-speaking Learners’, that based on ‘Standard Curriculum of Korean Language for International Use(IU)’. After that, it presented through the specific standards by topic, language skill, language knowledge and culture. The specific standards are presented from ‘Standard Curriculum of Korean Language for International Use’.
The levels of ‘Korean textbook for English-speaking Learners’ are Introductory, Basic, Further, Development. Each level is divided into two steps except for an introductory. Therefore, the total steps of ‘Korean textbook for English-speaking Learners’ are ten.
The brief summary by realm of ‘Korean textbook for English-speaking Learners’ is as follows. First, topic has central role of leading the learning. Therefore, topic must be consist of common and familiar theme. Second, the language skill’s realms are redesigned integration aims of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Third, the language knowledge realms are vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and text. The all four realms are redesigned as considering of topic relating. Fourth, the sub-areas of the culture which are culture knowledge, culture perspective and culture practice are also represented by integration.
