This study analyzed characteristics of Kinfolk culture with a few Kinfolk- style wedding cases to design Kinfolk-style wedding hair accessories. Additionally, it proved the association between aesthetic characteristics of Georgia O'Keeffe's flower images and Kinfolk-style wedding to visualize the wedding hair accessories. Based on the study results, designed Kinfolk-style wedding hair accessories, suggesting a variety of Kinfolk-style wearing images suitable for a self-guided wedding hair decoration. Kinfolk wedding culture shares the characteristics including economic efficiency by heightening meaningful values while reducing unnecessary formalities and vanities, a nature-friendly approach in the every stage of wedding preparation, a self-selected decoration displaying a unique individual taste, reusability for energy-saving and recycling, etc. Additionally, 'the natural colors' were emphasized by excluding any artificial beauty. Aesthetic characteristics of the flowery images presented in the paintings of O'Keeffe are summarized by its nature-friendly orientation, femininity, and fantastic colors. Departed from a relative perspective, a nature-friendly orientation, which solely interprets a natural object selected for an art topic as it exists, is a major feature. Additionally, vitality-fulfilled femininity, a fundamental characteristic of a woman that enables giving birth, is deeply expressed via real close-up images of flowers, which are objects with innate vitality and creativity. Finally, symbolic colors of nature are materialized as 'fantastic colors' through an interpretative depicting method that expands flower images. A similarity is found between 'a nature-friendly orientation' characterized in Kinfolk-style weddings and 'a perspective on nature' expressed in the O'Keeffe paintings. Additionally, it illustrates the peak time of a woman's life that expresses the highest level of feminity through a body of a mother giving birth after a wedding, as well as it sympathizes with 'a perspective on a woman' that tells a narrative of strong vitality expressed through the O'Keeffe's flower images. And I was able to prove a possibility of the design application using the natural symbols and vivid natural colors into the wedding hair accessories, which seemingly deviated from the traditional wedding hair accessories that are limited by the white colors and associated materials. I was able to foresee the possibility of adopting Kinfolk-style wedding hair accessories through the nowaday's diversely changing scenes expressing the vernacular colors in nature for wedding images instead of the traditional white wedding images. The followings are a designer's conclusions came up from designing the five wedding hair items, a tiara, hairband, coronet, face veil, and hairpin by applying forms and colors of the selected five flowery images in the paintings of O'Keeffe. 1. Proved that the creatively designing a variety of wedding hair accessories was possible by borrowing the images of highly artistic works. 2. Suggested exemplary modeling images for a self-guided wedding hair decoration that are adaptive to different hair forms and lengths through the wearing images of the designed items. 3. Obtained the total of 40 different wearing images of the designed wedding hair accessories after selecting 8 basic women's hair styles for the image display. Here are the design conclusions. 1) The suggested wearing images provide a guide for self-selection in wedding hair accessories, which helps to overcome classic limitations of displaying founded at a self-guided wedding. 2) A highly fulfilling aesthetical effect was displayed through Kinfolk-style wedding hair accessories. In this regard, expect that it might be more available for those who are looking for novelty and self-guided weddings to the Kinfolk-style approach through the wedding hair accessories applied the images of O'Keeffe's artwork.
