This proposed an effective Korean pronunciation
teaching program aiming at Chinese learners through a
comparison on the vocal sound system of Korea and China.
As the two countries relationship and the influence of
Korean culture deepens, more and more Chinese joined the
Korean learning boom. However it is the pronunciation that
bothers the leaner whose mother language is Chinese in
learning Korean. In order to improve the pronunciation of
Chinese leaners, this researched and developed an
efficient learning program.
Firstly, an overall comparison between Korean and Chinese
vocal sound system has been made. Korean and Chinese
vocal sound system was compared and analyzed from varies aspects including consonant, vowel, phoneme fluctuation and
etcetera. The similarities and differences between Korean
and Chinese vocal sound system has been compared and
illustrate.
Secondly, the frequent mistakes in Korean learning for
Chinese learners has been reviewed and summarized.
Afterwards, a teaching program to reduce them has been
put forward. It is easily to grasp the similar part between
Korean and Chinese. But those pronunciations that doesn’t
exist in Chinese became huge obstacles for Chinese learners.
Aiming at reduce the pronunciation error, this
reviewed and analyzed the confusing part between Korean
and Chinese pronunciation. Moreover, the interference of
mother language among Chinese learners has been studied.
Finally, this studied and proposed an efficient
pronunciation teaching program based on Audio-lingual
Method. Taking advantage of the Korean-Chinese vocal
sound system comparison which is summarized in the first
part and Audio-lingual Method we put forward a new
pronunciation teaching program.
The first step is standard pronunciation teaching, so
student can grasp and imitate accurately. Then the
comparative study based on the Korean-Chinese vocal sound
system comparison and phonology knowledge will give
student a deep understanding of the slight difference
between Korean and Chinese pronunciation. Last but not least, “practice makes perfect”, leaners will have an
authentic Korean pronunciation by practice.
