In the thesis, the author takes the prosperity of the South Korean popular music as the breakthrough point. The author of this started her analysis through the pattern, time and how much people like it to explain the prosperity of the South Korean popular music in the China and Asian area as well. Through the theories concerning to culture communication, culture closeness, use and satisfaction theory and so on, the author of this has made a series analysis on the anthentic reason that the South Korean popular music get so popular on the Chinese market and the acceptance attitude that the Chinese audience have got towards the global media. The hot broadcast of the South Korean popular music has to a large extent satisfy the Chinese audience's need for programs and it also has become important component in their daily life. Meanwhile, the prosperity of the South Korea popular music is also represented in the aspects like commodities, food and drinks and tourism and so on, which brings huge effects not only to China and Asia but also to the whole world as well. This has selected one hundred and eighty young people that they came from China as its investigation respondents. And the investigation questions focus on the reasons why the audiences are fond of the South Korean popular music, the types of South Korean popular music that the audiences like, the time period that the audiences choose to listen to the South Korean popular music and the satisfactory extent that the audience got while listening.
The aim of the reaearch represented in this : though the method of using the questionnaire to mainly analyze the reason that South Korean popular music have got so well achieved in China and the acceptance attitude that the Chinese audiences express towards the media.
The result of the research represented as followings:
First. Most of the interviewees listen to the Korean popular music sometimes owing to the time reason. But because of the ages and the working class and the culture and languages are different that the people who like the South Korean popular music are young people.
Second. There are many reasons for the people to listen to the Korean popular music. Besides the reason that the Korean popular music can release the pressure and fill in the hours, the popular Korean cultral wave yields many common topics for the yuong people to communicate. The main actors in the Korean popular music MTV are also one of the hottest topics discussed frequently by the people. Most of the South Korean popular music groups are more liked by chinese.
Third. In many big stores in China, the cosmetics of the Korean brands or the clothes in Korean styles can be seen everywhere, which proves that the Korean cultural wave has s stream guiding power. Through watching the South Korean popular music, people like to imitate the popular style. And the young people would like to spend their efforts to chase fashion and novelty. Therefore, in regard to the fashion trend, the Korean popular music have brought great influences.
Fourth. What effects on earth dose the South Korean popular music can bring to people listening them? For example, after listening to the Korean popular music, people actively choose to learn the Korean language and they also want to take a tour to the place where the MTV are shot in South Korean. There are also many people imitating the clothes and hair styles shown in the MTV and purchase the articles appearing in the Korean TV series. All of the situations mentioned above fully prove the effects that the hot broadcast of the South Korean popular music and the South Korean culture wave. People have more demand on purchasing the satisfation on material life and current fashion wave.
Fifth. Owing to the fact that there is always something new referred to the fashion wave in what is old, the styles of the hair are in constant changes. Therefore, people's demand in this regards cannot get satisfied. There are always new demands appearing. On the contrary, owing to the original existence of the life style and social background, people's behavioral approaches and life habits cannot be changed a lot. Owing to that the Korean cultural wave has brought such great influence on the Chinese market, it is quiet easy for the people to imitate the clothe style or hair style in the Korean TV series.
In conclusion, the prosperity of the South Korean cultural wave and the hot broadcast of the South Korean popular music has brought huge influences to the China and Asian cuontries as well. Pwing to the differences concerting to the age, gender and individual preferences of the audiences, it leads to the difference in the extent of demand and satisfaction and this will not disappear in the certani period. This pattern of the South Korean cultural wave has become an indispensable important part of the modern life.
