There has been constantly increased in study of how effectively speaking Korean pronunciation for Korean learner all around the world. However it was mostly depended to the countries such as Japanese and Chinese-speaking students. In reality there’s limited access and lack of studies to teach Korean especially to Russian-speaking students. Also a study on pronunciation education for Russian-speaking students ends up in presentation of teaching method on pronunciation from which is simple phoneme comparison through phoneme contrast analysis. There are no significant studies that presented teaching method for application practical study on pronunciation education. Therefore I am concluding that there is a need of seeking effective teaching methods on pronunciation Russian-speaking students.
I would like to emphasize the purpose of study to accomplish effective teaching methods on pronunciation by analysis on correlation of consonant consciousness between Korean and Russian. In order to achieve the purpose, firstly our study will review the contrast analysis between the consonant system of Korean and of Russian, arranged type of a consonant error that would be expected to appear in Korean pronunciation of Russian-speaking students. Secondly this study tested to Russian who had not studied Korean about consciousness, in order to grasp how Korean beginners from Russian-speaking area forms L21 system of interlanguage. Also this study experimented on consciousness from Koreans who did not study Russian in order to test the consonant of Russian. The experiment is performed the comparison of the Russian consonant that Russians who do not speak Korean perceive to be alike to Korean who is perceived to Korean who do not speak Russian as the consonant.
Based on above research, correlation of consonant consciousness between Korean and Russian was classified as the case of mutual correspondence and not. Also it provides effective teaching methods which established at chalkface regarding correlation on consonant consciousness between Korean and Russian. These are the phoneme contrast between Korean and Russian, the moving training of articulation position, and the training of articulation method.
This study presents the teaching method of consonants pronunciation for beginning Korean speaker from Russian-speaking area from analysis on correlation of consonant consciousness between Korean and Russian by consciousness experiment, unlike existing contrast studies that only stayed the phoneme contrast, which makes practical teaching and learning plan of pronunciation education on Korean consonant that used the method and we can simply find the importance of this study here.
However this study expected the possible error by contrast of consonant system between Korean and Russian. Thus actually this study couldn't check the effects of learning applying Russian who didn't study Korean, which could be pointed as limit. From this study, hereafter study should search effective teaching methods on consonant pronunciation for Russian who didn't study Korean by consciousness experiment on consonant situated in middle and end of language, too.
