We live in a world where everything is being globalized these days; the Spanish language is no exception to this globalization era and nowadays the number of Spanish learners in Koera is rising steadily and rapidly. However, there are some problems in learning Spanish, in other words, it is different from Korean language. These differences bring about linguistic errors to Korean speaking students when they learn Spanish.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the errors of Spanish for Korean students, to identify current problems and to find solutions to these problems. This study deals with the following topics: (1) What are the differences between the Korean and Spanish languages? (2) What kind of errors do these differences make? (3) How can the prevention of these errors be incorporated into the development of teaching methods and materials for our Spanish learners in Korea?
To give an answer to these questions, I collected samples of personal errors, linguistic differences between Korean and Spanish and the error data through contrastive analysis. In order to prevent this kind of errors and to develop appropriate teaching methods and learning materials, in this study I describe the understandable differences between both languages through grammatical and logical explanations of interference and making proper generalization of the Spanish language.
