In Korean language, there are two forms of negation: one is of sentence and the other is of element . Sentence negation is made of one of the following three negatives: ‘ani’, ‘mot ’ or ‘motada’ while element negation is made of a root with a negative prefix. This makes a study of the definition of the prefixes ,the features of the Chinese prefixes ,韩语毕业论文,韩语毕业论文,and Chinese negative prefixes ‘bu, mu, mol, mi, bi’ and used respectively in Korean language and in Chinese language. Firstly, the analyses the formation of a noun with one of the following Chinese negative prefixes ‘bu,mu,mol,mi,bi’ to make it clear that they are mainly used before a noun to add negative meaning to the noun and to change its part of the speech. When one of the negative prefixes ‘bu’ ‘ mu’ ‘mol’ is put before a noun ,the noun will become negative in meaning with the result either of changed part of speech of the root or original one. Mi and bi are used only to add negative meaning without changing the part of speech of the root . Bi is used at the end of a noun and connected with suffix ‘jiok ‘or other phrases. Secondly, the explains the implications of the Chinese negative prefixes . ‘Bu’ means ‘inconsistent with the part of the speech of the root.’ or ‘failed to be… ’ A gerund with prefix ‘bu’ indicates ‘failed to do…’or ‘unable to do…’; ‘mu’ denotes ‘there be not ’ or sometimes ‘absolutely not’; ‘mol’ means ‘there be not at all; ‘mi’ indicates ‘not yet come up to a certain standard ’ or ‘failed to do or to be’; ‘bi ’means ‘of different categories. Lastly, a study of ‘bu ,mu, mol,mi,bi’ in Chinese language is made and a comparison of them between Chinese language and Korean language is made both in meaning and in formation. In Chinese language, mu’ is a prefix; ‘bu and mi’ function as adverb; ‘mol’ is used as a verb ; bi performs many functions : a noun ,a verb ,an adverb or a prefix and when it is used together with a noun ,it seldom changes the part of speech of the noun; ‘bu’ indicates negative judgment ;both ‘mu’ and ‘mol’ mean ‘there be not ’; ‘mi’ means ‘not yet done’ or ‘not yet been’; ‘bi’ means ‘of different categories. The above introduction is made to Chinese learners of Korean language so that they can grasp the method of study of Chinese negative prefixes in Korean language. |
