So the Sino-Korean vocabulary education for Chinese learners is very important, but the related study is not mature or systematic. The author put forward the topic to further strengthen Sino-Korean vocabulary education based on the present situation and existing problems, using three vocabulary theories, namely a list of True Friends and False Friends, extended notion of synonym and the vocabulary teaching that is based on learners’ autonomy using internet dictionaries and materials, in order to explore amendatory programs of Sino-Korean vocabulary education appropriate for Chinese learners. The dissertation focuses on the following four aspects: Firstly, although the significance of Sino-Korean vocabulary is well-known and more and more scholars entered into the study sphere of Chinese character vocabulary in Korean, the study on the theories and teaching methods of Sino-Korean vocabulary education for Chinese learners is at its early stage without any application into real teaching practice. Because Korean education in China started late but developed rapidly, so there exist achievements and unavoidable problems as well as. Secondly, the difference between teaching Chinese character as native language and teaching Sino-Korean vocabulary as a second language brings a brand-new problem on the theories and methods study on Sino-Korean vocabulary education suitable for Chinese learners, although there are plenty of disputes and deeply research on Chinese character in the past many years. As we know, there is long historical Sino-Korean friendship. Nowadays, there are more and more Sino-Korean exchanges, especially in the educational cooperation sphere, so the Sino-Korean vocabulary education should be strengthened at the same time. Thirdly, Sino-Korean vocabulary plays important role in the Korean vocabulary system, also in Korean character life. As one member of Chinese cultured countries, Chinese learners enjoy inherent advantages. Therefore, because of the difference between modern Chinese and Modern Korean in language and culture, especially Sino-Korean vocabulary differs from modern Chinese, morphologic and semantic, Chinese learners also face unimaginable disadvantages and difficulties. But the author firmly believes that Chinese learners must be able to explore a characteristic road on Sino-Korean vocabulary education methods directed by sound theory. Fourthly, the author chooses three collaborating theories in many vocabulary theories in order to explore amendatory programs of Sino-Korean vocabulary education appropriate for Chinese learners. The aim to use the list of True Friends and False Friends is to make Chinese learners know the difference between Sino-Korean vocabulary and modern Chinese, taking the noun comparison in Chinese character vocabulary at the beginner stage as main example. Only in that way can the students establish correct learning attitude and master right learning methods. The introduction of the theory of extended notion of synonym is to overcome the mistakes and difficulties that Chinese learners usually meet focusing on the nature character of Sino-Korean vocabulary teaching, through analyzing the relation between Sino-Korean vocabulary and Chinese character vocabulary, between Chinese character vocabulary and other general vocabulary in Korean, between Chinese character vocabulary and grammar, taking the flexible use of verb and adjective in Chinese character vocabulary as main example for intermediate learners, intended to improve the efficiency to remember and learn Chinese character vocabulary, while to grasp the meaning of Sino-Korean vocabulary and use them freely. The theory of the vocabulary teaching that is based on learners’autonomy using internet dictionaries and materials is designed according to the complex nature of Sino-Korean vocabulary and the characteristics of Chinese character vocabulary teaching, and also the diverse advanced learners’ study purpose and self-requirements, in which stage students learn without much outside promotion from their teachers. It’s an efficient amendatory program to solve the issue of insufficient current status quo of Sino-Korean vocabulary education in China. In summary, the author hope to arouse educators and scholars to pay attention to the Sino-Korean vocabulary teaching for Chinese learners and set down syllabus beneficial for Chinese learners to learn Sino-Korean vocabulary efficiently. Above all, the Sino-Korean language and culture comparison and the appearance of specific teaching materials and bilingual Sino-Korean vocabulary dictionary should be underlined warmly.
