The purpose of this thesis is to argue that an Ecomuseum, as a new method to overcome cultural Official Development Assistance (ODA), has worked for years in realizing the sustainable development of developing countries. The Ecomuseum is a relatively recent movement within museology that seeks to address problems in local societies. The Ecomuseums’ fundamental character is one of sustainability that protects and preserves cultural heritage and cultural resources, leading to the invigoration of local society through culture in such localities. Many positive effects ripple from the Ecomuseum: strengthening of the local economy, building up local identity, establishing cultural pride, and building up and utilizing the abilities of local people and local communities. The objective of the Ecomuseum is to enhance the quality of life for local people and to develop sustainable development. These are reasons as to why the Ecomuseum can be presented as a preferential alternative to cultural ODA, which has limitations such as cultural invasion, cultural colony, and cultural developmentalism. There are many studies concerning the effects of Ecomuseums contributing positively to sustainable local development. However, there is markedly little research that considers offering the Ecomuseum model as a cultural ODA for sustainable development in developing countries, particularly in Southeast Asia. As such, this thesis seeks to address this issue by suggesting the implementation of the Yogyakarta Ecomuseum model, as well as considering its expectancy effects. Additionally, it argues for the capability and need to achieve cultural ODA through Ecomuseums. Indonesia is one of the most prevalent developing countries in Southeast Asia. It has many cultural heritages and resources, and the possibility to mature through cultural ODA. However, Indonesia has suffered due to several factors, such as the lack of ability, money, technology, talent, and good governance. In order to achieve sustainable development and overcome such problems, Indonesia needs to undertake the approach offered via ODA. This thesis suggests that the way to develop cultural ODA is through Ecomuseums, and, as such, argues that genuine cultural ODA, implemented through Ecomuseums, is focused on realizing the fulfillment of happiness and a higher quality of life. ,韩语论文,韩语毕业论文 |
