This study is a qualitative study on the intention for marriage among unmarried women in their 30’s permanently employed at large company in Korea. Generally, women with economic power were expected to be free to choose marriage, but normative factors have a great influence on marriage intentions in this study. Specifically, the motive of marriage is not only the economic and emotional factors of the individual but also the normative factors such as social expectation and pressure from parents as the motive of marriage. In other words, normative motivation increases the intention for marriage. The conditions to accept marriage and the marriage expectation of women with economic competent vary from person to person, but their conditions to accept marriage act as a condition to limit the marriageable candidates in the marriage market and finally to lower the marriage opportunity. Their intention for marriage can be changed according to the possibility of meeting with the desired male. In one side, research participants do not perceive their economic ability as an attractive resource in the marriage market, but rather are influenced by age norms. They expect that marriage opportunities will gradually decrease as they get older. The intention for marriage is influenced by combination of individual marriage expectations, normative forces, and the participant’s economic power. ,韩语论文题目,韩语论文范文 |
