Today’s modern society, where it is knowledge-based and informative, has helped improving the technology, the life’s overall well-beings, and bringing the growth of leisure times. Both increased leisure times and advanced science and technology has influenced society’s culture, resulting in expansion of sports and leisure industry. By the increasing gross national income, implementing 5-day-a-week work system, and increasing people’s interests in health and self-management, the number of people enjoying leports (leisure / sports) is gradually increasing. After leports generalized, there has been a shift in process to more creative and thrilled, having chance to overcome more extremes, beyond just a satisfaction from participating in sports itself. People also began to have interests in more adventurous leports requiring both fortitude and strong mental to overcome their mental and physical limitations caused by this society’s depressing atmosphere with inclining anxiety toward the future in rapidly changing society. For this very reason, this so called “extreme sports” is now getting much attention by people as leports. Extreme Sports, practicing risking a threat even to one’s life, is also called “X-game”. As numbers of new equipment have been developed, in-line skating, BMX, wakeboard, etc become more popular making X-game become a part of a sports, developing the field of extreme sports. Through “boom”of extreme sports, or being a member of many sports clubs, people could easily adopt the extreme sports and enjoy them. As extreme sports changed into everyday sports, the way people wear their outfits has also been changing, resulting in sportswear becoming necessary in daily lives by either modifying and/or combining with everyday dress. This new character has brought changes in sportswear, making it possible to wear during daily lives breaking the boundary between sports and leisure activities. To prove this change, a new keyword “Athleisure” has appeared combining “Athletic” and “Leisure”, meaning sports in daily lives. It has been introduced to street fashion that youth generation likes to wear thereby having multiple directions such as sportism fashion with street fashion, innovative with combining two or more factors to create hybrid sportism fashion, sportism fashion with retro code, luxe sportism fashion reflecting high class needs, etc. and started an evolution into a new sportism, that is, a new paradigm. So what is needed is more progressed sportism fashion, what is appropriate to modern people’s developed sensitivity, into which multiple concepts complexly blend beyond a concept of having just one trend. Therefore this research has its purpose in developing and suggesting a new creative products systematically by studying the concept and types of extreme sports that are currently expanding even to public, and analyzing their formative characteristics based on equipment’s special materials and decorative/functional details. Also, it is to study the concept of “sportism” which has expanded into a new paradigm, and analyze current state of designs to develop a new fusion design with extreme sports and sportism fashion, having diversified directivity. Furthermore, it has an ultimate goal in vitalizing sports fashion market. The contents of this research first, analyze extreme sports equipment to suggest differentiated sports brand and concept, and study examples where they are applied. Second, set the brand concept and positioning through market research and information analysis, to secure its competitiveness in the domestic market. Third, develop and apply designs using extreme sports equipment after planning the product structure appropriate to domestic market to create a differentiated brand. Fourth, develop new designs focused to make it go beyond product details and images in the current market and well exhibit and reinterpret the full functionalities came from extreme sports. Fifth, develop designs that extreme equipment’s various inherent functional roles are cross co-ordinatable with interrelationship Through six developed designs based on these, these are what can be concluded as: First, it allows to know the possibility to create new and diverse designs by applying extreme sports equipment’s features and formativeness. Second, details and trimmings applied to each design after analyzing extreme sports equipment can combine structure, functionality, and aspect of beauty. Third, it expresses sportism fashion’s dynamics by using black and red that have customer’s higher selective efficiency. White and blue colors are used as point color to add liveliness, and metallic colors to add the brand images of technical gear functionality. Fourth, it can be suggested that it fulfills the needs in both fashion and function by using materials that dry quickly, block direct sunlight, are waterproof, protective against the wind, and able to generate heat to reflect sportswear’s functions, and using well-flexible material to make it suitable for both daily life and sports activities. Fifth, after developing products, already aware of direction of product development in pre-planning and designing phase, it can not only be co-ordinated within each theme but also cross co-ordinated naturally with other themes thereby adding effective values to developed items. Sixth, it can be possible to compress diverse tendency of new sportism into a brand products. That is, it suggests results after applying masculine and feminine, expansion of T.P.O application, hybrid between equipment’s details and fashion, and transformability. By suggesting sportism fashion development with high sensitivity reflecting customer’s preference and needs after intensive analysis of extreme sports equipment and grafting it to the products, it is expected not just to meet the functionality as a sportswear but also go beyond to meet the sensitive needs. Furthermore, the ultimate goal is set to vitalize today’s sportism fashion market.
