Mobile environment that may be used whenever and wherever is leading new news use behavior of use by connecting with news and SNS. Now, people themselves are news sharers by delivering their opinion along with news by using SNS and became to be in charge of news producer at the same time. Alike this, the method that uses news through SNS and participates in political and social issue appears new news consumption method that is different from existing participation method. With phenomenon that is political and social participation that are active in online and offline, this study aims to explain and analyze process to select new media based on individual characteristic. For this, it tries to look at the meaning by dividing behavior that people of Republic of Korea currently uses news through SNS by major characteristic. About characteristic who wants to use news through SNS, it analyzed with comparison according to basic access method that studied SNS use characteristic, comparison according to SNS news use purpose, and comparison according to SNS news use time. As a result of study, it may confirm that difference and common by SNS news use characteristic are appeared together. As result of examining SNS news use characteristic by platform, in case people use news a lot with Facebook, 'interpersonal trust' element gave meaningful influence statically on innovativeness. On the other hands, in case of people who use news with general SNS platform news, 'network' gave meaningful influence on 'innovativeness'. This is what may be seen as thing that generates differences on influence that affects to 'innovativeness' by SNS platform, which means that trust between people has static influence relation with innovativeness that accepts new thing. Among SNS use characteristics and research problem due to use purpose, people who use SNS news for purpose to acquire information does not have factor that affects to 'innovativeness' except for 'acquired capital'. People who use SNS news for communication purpose has meaningful influencing relationship in 'innovativeness'. Thus, in case of people for purpose of communication, it may know that it appears higher in 'innovativeness' if their 'interpersonal trust' is higher. Among SNS news use characteristics, at research problem according to use time, factor that affects to 'innovativeness' appeared identically in 'network' and 'acquired capital'. At this time, the influence appeared strong as SNS use time is longer. What is appeared commonly in research is that using news through SNS only has difference in influential power, but every 'network' and 'acquired capital' appeared influence in 'innovativeness'. Also, 'innovativeness' of individual has statically meaningful influencing relation with 'political and social participation'. This is the part that may be thought that news use method through news consumption method itself through SNS is an innovative concept is aspect that news use method through SNS is different from existing news consumption method. Thus, it may be told that 'innovativeness' has close relation with SNS news use. Through this study, it checked if social and cultural capital affects to political and social participation by innovativeness. This study means a lot in aspect that it examines social capital and cultural capital at the same time and examines innovativeness together.
