The Fourth Industrial Revolution that the ICT(information and communications technology) and manufacturing industries are perfectly fused has begun through the First, Second and Third Industrial Revolutions. In the Fourth Industrial Revolution period, it is expected to achieve the enterprise optimization with the networking of whole industrial equipment and production processes. And also the entire production processes can be optimized efficiently and upgraded with a new dimension of flexibility and performance due to the transition to Smart Factory that the factory can manage its production, process control, process repair, work safety, etc. Although, many technologies have been developed such as Internet of things(IOT), Big Data, Cloud Computing, Wearable Computer, 3D printers, virtual reality equipment to support the Smart Factory, there is no suitable case for the manufacturing industry so far. So It is difficult to fully determine the concept of Smart Factory even though factory automation systems and various sensors have been supporting the industry, and it can be seen at introduction stage. Although Smart Factory requires a lot of advanced technologies and systems, it can be considered as the main core of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. If Smart Factory combined with the ICT and manufacturing industry, it can be a standard, automation of the manufacturing process and also the expected change will bring to the consumer customized logistics process innovation. In this , a construction case of Smart Factory for an enterprise that is a precision processing company is introduced. The established MES(Manufacturing Execution System Shop Floor) / POP(Point of Production) systems solved relating to all of the aforementioned requests and responds effectively, and it was showed visible results such as reduction of production time and defect rate, even though it is early stage of the Smart Factory. From these results, the concepts of Smart Factory can be seen quite positive to manufacturing enterprises.
