The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of Ego-identity and the Moderating Effect of Perceived Social Support between Acculturative Stress and Psycho-social Adjustment. This research was analyzed with data from 206 Multi-cultural secondary school students. Acculturative Stress scale, Ego-identity scale, Social Support scale, Psycho-social Adjustment scale are used for measurement. And Acculturative Stress scale items added based on focus group interview and previous study revised to examine content validity, construct validity and the reliability. The data were analyzed through correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. To examine mediating effect of Ego-identity between Acculturative Stress and Psycho-social Adjustment, Baron and Kenny(1986) model was used. also examine Moderating effect of Perceived Social Support between Acculturative Stress and Psycho-social Adjustment, Aiken and West(1991) model was used. The results of this study are as follows. First, Acculturative Stress shows significant positive correlation with Psycho-social Adjustment. Acculturative Stress shows negative correlation with Ego-identity. Ego-identity, Perceived Social Support, Psycho-social Adjustment shows negative correlation. whereas Perceived Social Support no significant correlation with externalization problem. Second, the mediating effect of Ego-identity between Acculturative Stress and Psycho-social Adjustment revealed that Ego-identity has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between the two variables. the mediating effect of Ego-identity between Acculturative Stress and internalized problem revealed that Ego-identity has a full mediating effect in the relationship between the two variables. The mediating effect of Ego-identity between Acculturative Stress and externalization problem revealed that Ego-identity has no mediating effect in the relationship between the two variables. Third, the moderating effect of Perceived Social Support between Acculturative Stress and Psycho-social Adjustment revealed that Perceived Social Support has no mediating effect in the relationship between the two variables. Effect of the interaction between Acculturative Stress and Perceived Social Support was influenced by the paltry level only to externalization problem.
