Due to diverse causes including foreign workers’immigrating and international marriage, Korea has become multi cultural society. According to these changes of society and period, it is imperative to develop new teaching and learning plans in musical education. Multi cultural musical education aims to understand new musical cultures by experiencing other cultures’various kinds of music. Additionally, it aims to cultivate students’multi cultural awareness. Through multi cultural musical education, students will be able to learn original music of various countries and increase musical creativity. In parallel to it, students will be able to have a mind that values our traditional music and to have attitude of respecting and considering other cultures’ music. As a result, students will be able to overcome the sense of difference with other cultures. Drama music makes it feasible to teach with other subjects, as it is composite art which is mixed with music, literature, drama and dancing. This will help students to cultivate multi cultural perspective and comprehensive thinking. In addition to it, because drama music has musical factors of singing and instrumental performance, it is possible to utilize drama music in the field of expressing, appreciating, and practising. This study suggested a teaching and learning plan for inspiring multi cultural awareness through comparative appreciation of Korean traditional opera Chunhyangjeon and Kabuki Kanjincho. These conclusions are drawn in this study. In the first, students will be able to recognize the difference and value of various cultural areas. Through discovering something in common and differences between Korean traditional opera Chunhyangjeon and Kabuki Kanjincho, students will recognize original value of other cultures and will arouse their multi cultural awareness. Second, the curriculum of comparative appreciation of these two drama music is effective for cultivating multi cultural awareness. It is because comparative appreciation of drama music has multiple factors that could raise students’interest. Furthermore, separate factors of drama music will be compared while implementing comparative appreciation of various drama music. Thirdly, students will be able to cultivate multi cultural awareness through activity-centered lesson. For example, students can handle similar instruments to those of other cultures and experience their feelings indirectly, through a curriculum in which students express main scenes of Chunhyangjeon and Kanjincho using musical instruments and acting. As a result of it, students will be able to broaden their understanding of multi cultural music and to increase multi cultural awareness. This study suggested one method of cultivating multi cultural awareness by appreciating and comparing Korean traditional opera Chunhyangjeon and Kabuki Kanjincho. Through this study, the writer hopes that the proposed curriculum will be used in school and furthermore, comparative study will expand to other genre of music and finally contribute to cultivate multi cultural awareness. ,免费韩语论文,韩语论文网站 |
