The purpose of this thesis is both to point out problems of ‘culture partiality’ in global and domestic markets for translated books and search for a desirable translation method and a new translation criticism to improve the problems. Therefore, this thesis shows that political and ideological powers of cultural hegemony intervene in the process of translation, looking at history of translation on the basis of ‘culture partiality’ concept and, even if there is no translation completely free of cultural hegemony, it emphasizes the necessity for rectifying excessive partiality toward them in the translation process. |
