The goal of this study is to analyze the actual condition of errors revealed in Junior High school students' sentences, to clarify the causes, and to present an effective writing education plan by which the errors can be corrected. While writing skills are essential, the fact that a great number of errors are found in sentences, the fundamental unit to express complete thoughts and feelings in a writing needs to be considered first and foremost.
In the 2nd chapter, the actual conditions concerning the errors that students are likely to make were accurately analyzed by presenting the illustrative sentence data of middle school 3rd grade students. The analysis of the actual condition concerning sentence errors not only is meaningful as it is, but also means a lot in terms of providing clues to find causes of such errors. Regarding the errors within a sentence, this study classified errors according to morphological, syntactic, lexical, and orthographical perspectives respectively, and reanalyzed them based on specific standards.
In the 3rd chapter, based on the sentence analysis in the 2nd chapter, the causes of errors in middle school students' sentences were examined in diversified views, and desirable education plans that can be carried out in school fields were presented. The structures of curriculum and problems of their management, the three aspects, the problems of textbooks' composition, problems of teaching/learning methods, were thoroughly investigated. The education plans for proper sentence writing were presented in a way to solve the problems revealed in each perspective.
In modern day society, writing abilities that enables a person to express his own thoughts are being highlighted as very crucial assets. Considering the fact that the purpose of writing is to express personal thoughts and emotions accurately, making sentences without errors is really vital. In such situation where modification of textbook modification and renewed education plans are urgent, it is hoped that the discussion in this study can contribute to the education of proper sentence writing.
