This research classifies the parts of speech in the middle-school's Korean Language text book.
Particularly it analyses the noun vocabulary systematically and structurally.
The purpose of this study is to grasp the system and the structure of words, and to grope for the methods of vocabulary teaching through a study of the lexicological structure of noun vocabulary.
From this analysis, one can understand the structure of words and the morphological structures in a statistical way.
1.The system of noun vocabulary is divided into four parts: such that, proper words(or native words), Chinese origin words, the loan words and the blend words.
(1) From the viewpoint of distribution, it has been found that Chinese origin words are 66.4%, which exceeds 4% when compared with 62.4% appeared in 小辭典(a Little concise of Korean-Language) written by Hangul-Hakhoi(a Korean language society)
(2) It has also been found that the proper words (or native words) are 26.4% in the proportion of the whole vocabulary, the loan words l.8%, the blend words 5.4%, respectively.
2. The proper words of the noun part are divided into four parts, such that, simple words, derivative words, complex words and compound words, ect.
(1) In the proper words it has been found that the simple words are the most of all as it takes up 44.9%, complex words 26.5%, derivative words 19.7% and compound words 8.9%, respectively.
(2) Proper words are classified 4 parts and speciallized 8 types again.
When we refer to the notation, we designate the simple words as B type the derivative words aB type, Ba type and aBa type, complex words B-B type, compound words aB-B, B-Ba and Ra-R type, respectively.
3. We will teach vocabulary effectively when we apply the following methods.
(1) We can make use of the fundamental syllable tables for the initial language teaching.
(2) Korean language education will vary with reading guidance.
(3) By means of discussion or we can bring up the ability of understanding each other.
(4) It is good to teach children Chinese origin language as early as possible.
(5) Let's not abuse the foreign language.
