Many Korean literature works, besides movies and dramas, are introduced to and known throughout foreign countries due to Hallyu or Korean wave. Language-relevant contents such as movies, dramas, poems, novels are translated in accordance with each country's language and accepted. When foreign readers encounter Korean novels in their countries, they have no choice but to read translated version of the literary works. Contents of the work can be totally different depending on translator's vocabulary, writing skill, point of view, values, and understanding of meanings. That can make the readers' acceptance of meaning and sentiment of the work entirely differently from the original version. Translation may be simply thought as a transliteration, but in fact, it is a quite difficult work because you need to comprehend every thing, for instance, culture, history, geology, life, economy, and politics of the country where the original work was published when you look into in order to translate texts. As translation and acceptance are strongly correlated, the importance of translation has come into greater prominence. Although perfect translation is almost impossible to achieve, translators should convey the contents and theme of original work to readers. Transmitting indigenous sentiment and culture of Korea by Korean literary works can have a large influence on foreigners who are interested in Korean language and literature because education using literature can arouse interest of students and convey more information and sentiment. Acceptance of Korean literature in foreign countries can be called as the most useful tool that can do Korean language education and Korean culture education at the same time. When reading literary works, readers don't understand and accept the work at once, but they analyze, understand, and accept the work through several systematic steps. They gradually examine and comprehend words and sentences in the process. On the basis of what they have understood, readers analogize and grasp overall flow, mood, and theme of the work. In this article, the present writer searched for and bought Chinese translated version of Korean modern novels that are being sold in Chinese market. The present writer studied difference of words and sentences between original version and translated version, between a translated version and another translated version on the basis of survey conducted on experts and Chinese students in Korea. As a result of the study, the present writer found that words, sentences, and moreover, entire work varied depending on the person who had translated and it had great influence on acceptance aspect of readers. For better acceptance of Korean modern novels in foreign countries, the present writer suggested four improvement plans: cultivating talented translators, compiling a translation dictionary, promoting academic exchange with foreign colleges/universities with Korean language department, and attention from Korean linguistics and literature majors. ,免费韩语论文,韩语论文 |
