A Study on the teaching methods of meaning of final endings ‘-gun, -guna, -ne’ by spoken language corpus The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaning of the final endings of Korean and to clarify the meaning difference by substituting the three final endings. In addition, this study discusses methods to present the meaning focusing on the meaning difference of three final endings in Korean language education. In Chapter 1, it discusses the purpose of the study, previous studies, and research methods. This study tried to present the three final endings as not the system of the honorific titles but a grammatical item focusing on the meanings and consider ‘-gun, -ne’ but for ‘–yo’ as analysis targets for the meaning were represented by the final endings which have the unique grammatical characteristics and the elements of various discourse situation. Lastly, it considers ‘-gun’ not as the abbreviation of ‘-guna’ but as a separate form. In Chapter 2, examine four dictionary and three grammar to see how the semantics of the three final endings are presented in previous studies. Based on the results of the review, reconstructed the meaning from the viewpoint of Korean language education so that it is easy for Korean teachers and foreign learners to understand, and this corresponds to ‘thoughts and feelings expression, fact description, and reaction’. In Chapter 3, it examines the comprehensive condition of the three final endings handled in the Korean textbooks. The results of the analysis showed that it was difficult to clearly understand the meaning of the three final endings and did not show the meaning difference between ‘-gun’ and ‘-ne’ in similar situations. In chapter 4, analyzed the meaning of the three final endings revealed in chapters 2 and 3, focusing on the use of the modernized spoken language corpus in the ‘21st Century Sejong Plan’. And the possibility of substitution in the same discourse situation was examined and the meaning difference was analyzed. Finally, the meaning of three final endings are plotted and expressed based on the difference of meaning factor. In Chapter 5, it discusses the conclusion and significance of this study. In this study, it is meaningful that the difference of meaning is analyzed through the three final endings replaced in a specific discourse situation and the meaning is revealed.
