Yeogeoyuhae(譯語類解) is the earlist Chinese-Korean translation classification vocabulary book which was edited by Korean Dynasty Division Translation Institute. This book contains a total of 4690 vocabularies and other important information on the translation of words. But this book doesn’t have the preface, so the reason of this book as well as the content and characteristics have not yet to be solved, this problem has become an academic mystery.
Through the examination of the Chinese title and Korean explanation of the word to analyze the characteristics of this book. In the course of the examination of Chinese title, it is found that the most of Chinese titles are compound structure. In the category study, compared with other three classification vocabulary books which were edited by Division Translation Institute, determine the correlation between the four literature category names and Hunmongjahoe(訓蒙字會) and Chosun-Kwanyoko(朝鮮館譯語). And there is connection of upper and lower, antonym, synonym, homoionym and polysemous between the titles.
In the examination of the annotation in Korean, the special words in the comments section were analyzed and compared. All of the translation of the vocabulary statistics have been made and one-sidedly investigated in the modern Korean vocabulary structure. A part of Chinese characters words appeared in annotation took Yeogeoyuhae(譯語類解) as base before and after its publication , and found that some Sino-Korean words have been Koreanization.
Through the comparison of the Chosun-Kwanyoko(朝鮮館譯語) in the Ming Dynasty, it is found that there are many similarities between the two literatures, which are not only in the editor but also in the vocabulary. Therefore, the formation and ordering of Yeogeoyuhae(譯語類解) is influenced by the Ming Dynasty and Chosun-Kwanyoko(朝鮮館譯語).
In the annottion of Nogeoldae-Eonhae(老乞大諺解)(1670) and Nogoldae-Sinsok(老乞大新釋)(1761) in Korean era, the same vocabulary found in Nogoldae-Sinsok(老乞大新釋) 18th Century were more than Nogeoldae-Eonhae(老乞大諺解) 17th Century. So it it is important to determine the Yeogeoyuhae(譯語類解) in modern Korean.
