This research analyzes how much intermediate Korean textbook's speaking tasks are accelerating learner's interaction and suggests method of designing speaking tasks with extensive interaction between students. In this research, four kinds of intermediate level Korean textbook's speaking tasks were analyzed with a focus on three aspects of interaction as the manuscript suggests; interacting agent, learner's role and interactive relation. There were three common problems with each and every textbook. First, types of tasks were not diverse and were weighted heavily on role play and sharing personal experience tasks. Second, interacting agents and learner's roles were also not varied. Interacting agents were leaned towards S₁-S₁and S₁- Sg. Also, learner's roles presented were very limited. Third, different types of tasks yielded similar rate of interaction between the students. Two-way interaction's rate should be noticeably higher than one-way interaction. There were two additional problems in analyzing the tasks. First, there were no separation in elementary, intermediate and advanced level of the task. Second, monotonous dialogues in tasks were no good enough to pull off interactions between the students. Example of designing speaking tasks that induces extensive interaction between students are presented in the based on the 5 issues of speaking tasks analyzed earlier. Role play and sharing personal experience tasks were changed into different types of tasks that were presented deficiently. Interacting agents of each levels were diversified by subdividing activity stages of the tasks to lead interacting relation to be bidirectional. Also, dialogues of tasks were composed in additional detail so that interaction between the students would be derived sufficiently. Research in this topic should be progressed further so that students can experience diverse and practical interactions in the future. ,韩语论文,韩语论文范文 |
