Connective suffixes are frequently used in Korean suffixes, and their wrong uses also appear
easily. Quite different from conjunctions in Chinese, connective suffixes have various syntactic
features. So it is diificult for Chinese learners to use connective suffixes in Korean properly and
smoothly. This thesis is to analyze connective suffixes in Korean and conjunctions in Chinese
and aim to compare subject conditions between connective suffixes in Korean and conjunctions
in Chinese, and to elaborate their similarities and differences, thus to provide some help for
those Chinese learners when they are learning Korean.
In the first Chapter, it identifies research purpose and proposes research method and details
by going through previous studies.
In Chapter 2, it has summarized definition and category of connective suffix in Korean and
conjunctions in Chiese.
In Chapter 3, this thesis investigates on the propertioes of syntax of connective suffixes in
Korean and conjunctions in Chinese in detail.
In Chapter 4, this thesis elaborates the similarities ans differences of the subject conditions between connective suffixes in Korean and conjunctions in Chinese. Due to these difference, the
wrong uses and different corresponding relationships will appear during the Korean and Chinese
translations.
In Chapter 5, by having comparative analysis between connective suffix in Korean and
conjunctions in Chinese, it tries to find sufficient educational method.
In this research, it has looked into the comparison between connective suffix in Korean and
conjunctions in Chinese and based on the conclusion it proposes educational application. Hope
this research becomes big help to Chinese students learning connective suffix in Korean.
