In this thesis, we objectively compared the similarities and differences in linguistic expression of causality between connective suffixes in Korean Language and front conjunctions in Chinese Language through analyzing their syntactic and semantic features, comprehensive history and correlative system.
Firstly, in Chapter 2, we illustrated an overall interpretation of the linguistic expression of causality in Korean Language and Chinese Language in order to distinguish the logical concepts and classification system. Secondly, based on the logical relationship, the expression of 'because, so' could be unified as "causality" in description.
Chapter 3 analyzed the main research object of this study. We elaborated the syntactic and semantic features of the connective suffixes related to the expression of causality in Korean Language, such as '-asa', '-nikka', '-muro' and '-nurago'. Based on the syntactic and semantic features of that, we analyzed meanings and characteristics and constructed objective system of the syntactic and semantic features due to the differences and similarities. Otherwise, similar illustration was explained in Chinese Language as well. The front conjunctions in Chinese Language that express as causality, including '-yinwei', '-youyu', '-suoyi', '-yizhi', '-yinci' and '?yiner' have similar characteristics to which in Korean Language. Thus, objective system was constructed in the same way. Moreover, on the basis of their own system, we compared the expression of causality in Korean LanguageKorean with Chinese Language in systematic perspective.
Based on the research results of Chapter 3, we focused on the connective suffix related to the expression of causality in Korean Language in Chapter 4, including '-asa', '-nikka', '-muro' and '-nurago'. and made a comparative analysis on the corresponding performances and forms in Chinese Language.
Chapter 5 summarizes and concludes the content discussed above.
