This Study focused on the korean honorific. The Korean honorific should be included in Korean's language activities. However, it is not easy to use it for learners properly because it should be used considering speaking when, where, whom, what and why when using honorific. So it is necessary to pay attention to Korean honorific in Korean Language education. The Korean honorific is more complex than Chinese honorific expression. Chinese honorific is realized with honorific vocabularies but Korean honorific is realized with grammars and vocabularies. While Korean honorific is required in conversations, Chinese honorific expression is generally used in literary language only. Accordingly, the study had tests on Chinese learners of Korean Language and researched how they produce and understand Korean honorific.
In the first chapter, I described the necessity and goal of this study, theoretical background. Then I summarized the previous related studies. The previous studies divide into three parts of studies on sociolinguistic Korean honorific and studies on the mood of honorific chinese-korean, studies on teaching Korean honorific as a foreign language. And I described the method of study, composition of content. The method is carry out a survey chinese learners.
In the second chapter, contrast between Korean and Chinese in honorific system is consisted. Frist, conceptions and functions are outlined, followed by the comparison and analysis of honorific expressions which are categorized by grammatical forms. In the study of primary factors that affect these two languages in honorific, resemblance in the honorific vocabulary system of Chinese and Korean is obvious, especially on the aspect of appellation usage. The difference is the expressional forms of honorific. The Korean honorific is expressed grammatically. While in Chinese. it is expressed by special vocabulary. In consequence of the historic factors that both countries highly esteem the principle of Confucianism, the honorific.
The third chapter, include two kinds of contents. First, studying circumstances of chinese learners about Korean honorific. Get to know the study presented a survey on seniors majoring in Korean on Korean honorific for 80 Chinese learners in kyungpook national university and Daegu university. Through the survey, we may have some knowledge of the difficulties the Chinese students encountered in studying korean honorific, so we may have a further study of the causes of their difficulties. Then we will hit the target in preparing lessons and giving lectures and put more emphasis on their difficulties. The second, get to know the educational contents about Korean honorific,  analyzed the Korean honorific on five kinds of korean textbooks. Besides, Pointed out the contents of Korean honorific and the mistakes in textbooks. And the mistakes to cause this error for chinese learners in Korean honorific learning.
In the forth chapter, analyzed four causes of Korean honorific's mistakes by chinese learners. First, the communicative strategy, second, the characteristics of Korean language, third, the mistakes in the Korean textbooks and the last is psychological cause. On the basis of the previous discussion, effectual teaching-learn
ing model is proposed in the forth chapter.
The last chapter, draw a conclusion form the study ideal. Suggested the Korean honorific's error types by chinese learners and the mistakes in Korean textbooks. With the increase of Chinese learners, it is becoming more necessary to investigate Chinese learners' errors for the reason that this can provide numbers data and researching resource for upgrading teaching method. I analyzed the cases form educational practice as well as the presentations form teaching materials for Chinese learners in the hope of improving Korean honorific education.
