The purpose of this study was to explore efficient educational methods for Korean antonyms. For that purpose, the study collected and sorted out previous studies and literature on antonyms, established theories on Korean antonyms, and analyzed the current state of education for Korean antonyms according to teaching materials, teachers, and learners.
Specifically, the investigator analyzed the organization and content of five teaching materials for Korean education, examined their current state, and made up a list of educational antonyms. The investigator also took a survey with Korean and foreigner learners and analyzed the current state of education for Korean antonyms with a variety of statistical techniques.
Based on the analysis results, the study proposed more effective educational methods for Korean antonyms according to types and types and further integrated educational methods for antonyms. The study thus set out to suggest a set of criteria for systematic education on Korean antonyms and make a contribution to the activation of education.
