The object of this study is to observe the usage patterns of tense-aspect in personal narratives, personalized narratives and impersonal narratives among Chinese learners of Korean based on Aspect Hypothesis which explains the relationship of tense-aspect and verbs, and Discourse Hypothesis which explains the relationship of tense-aspect and narrative structure. This thesis is organized as follows. The first chapter described the goal and necessity of this study and reviewed precedent studies on usage of tense-aspect in narratives. The second chapter laid the theoretical foundation for this study by arranging the definition and classification of aspect and narrative structure, diagnostic test of Lexical Aspect, and the main contents of Aspect Hypothesis and Discourse Hypothesis. The third chapter described the research method and the fourth chapter drew the result of three issues based on the extracted data. We found that Chinese learners present differences in using tense-aspect to distinguish foreground and background all in personal narratives, personalized narratives and impersonal narratives. and the usage of tense-aspect of higher level learners was more in conformity with the Discourse Hypothesis than that of lower level learners. furthermore, All lexical aspects showed differences in distribution of tense-aspect and narrative discourses. The fifth chapter summarized and arranged contents of this manuscript and finished with conclusions and proposals. This study verified the universality of Aspect Hypothesis and Discourse Hypothesis theory by analyzing three kinds of narratives written by Chinese learners, and found the change of tense-aspect usage of students of different levels and the relationship of narrative structure and the verbs, which will be helpful to the study on Korean education and the Korean tense-aspect category. ,韩语论文网站,韩语论文网站 |
