This study aims to seek effective education plan of Korean plosive and affricate pronunciation for Japanese-speaking learners.

Chapter 2, Errors of learners has been predicted using a contrastive analysis of Korean and Japanese. Understanding of native language is important to learn correct pronunciation of target language. To know the similarities and differences between target language and native language is a necessary step for correcting errors of pronunciation. Accordingly, Korean and Japanese consonant, plosive, affricate has been analyzed and predicted Japanese-speaking learner's errors. As a result of this analysis, Japanese-speaking learners may have difficulties because of Korean's aspirated and tense on confrontation in three ways: unaspirated, aspirated, glottalized.
Chapter 3, Japanese-speaking learners in domestic Korean educational institution were selected for the cognition and speech experiment of Korean plosive and affricate. The percentage of correct answers of cognition experiment appeared in the following order: glottalized → unaspirated → aspirated. The percentage of correct answers of speech experiment showed in the following order: unaspirated → aspirated → glottalized. Also, Japanese-speaking learners have more correct in speech experiment than cognition experiment. According to this result, education plan should have been proposed through understanding learner's skill exactly.
Based on the experiment results of Chapter 3, Chapter 4 proposed specific education plan for Japanese-speaking learners. The education was organized in the following order: bilabial → alveolar consonant → palatal consonant → velar and unaspirated → aspirated → glottalized on confrontation in three ways.
This study proposed effective education plan of Korean plosive and affricate pronunciation for Japanese-speaking learners. Utilizing this education plan in actual class and supplementing this study will be left for the further study.
