The purpose of this study is to examine the major factors influencing on the physical and mental health satisfaction of the international marriage migrant women by searching the general state of the women on the situation in the absence of the physical and mental satisfaction study and in the lack of social welfare service, even though the international marriage migrant women has increased rapidly these days in our society. On the base of this study, it tried to find the supportive methods and social welfare services that can improve the physical and mental health satisfaction of the international marriage migrant women in our society.
The supposed factors which are likely to influence on the physical and mental health satisfaction of the international marriage migrant women are population-sociological features, economic quality, social support and the usability of social welfare facilities.
In order to examine how the international marriage migrant women are affected mentally and physically; nationality, Korean proficiency, marital life period, children, age and educational background are controled and the independent variables are applied in a row then the regression analysis is made by creating population sociological featured model, economic qualified model, social supporting model, social welfare facilities usable model. and the integrated model.
The analyzed result is as following.
First, regarding the influence of population-sociological features on the physical and mental health satisfaction, under the control variable, this study informs that the women from the Philippines and China are more satisfied with their mental and physical health than those from other countries. In addition, the health condition and the age affect is statistically significant, the healthier those women are, the more they feel pleased and the older, the less. In the meantime, the independent variables has statistical meaning in age difference. Provided that other variables is controlled, the age difference has statistical influence, the significance level p<.01, and the bigger the age is different, the lower the mental health satisfaction level is.
Second, this investigation shows how the economic status gives affect the physical and mental health satisfaction. Above all, considering the influence of the control variable, this study suggests that the women from the Philippines are more satisfied with their mental and physical health than those from other countries. Under the independent variables, in the matter of the influence of the economic gap between the native and current resident countries on the physical and mental health satisfaction, when the present financial level is higher than that in their native country, the physical and mental health satisfaction decreases.
Third, the social supporting model affecting the physical and mental health satisfaction is analyzed like this. First of all, as regard of the influence of the control variable, more Chinese women appears to be more in content. Besides, the women who have the Philippine citizenship have the higher physical and mental health satisfaction than those from other countries, and the healthier they are, the more they feel pleased. Examining the social supporting factors, it is the stative relation that when the migrant women have more Korean friends they can talk to, their physical and mental health satisfaction gets higher .When it come to the around people's culture understanding for the migrant women, if the harder family, friends and neighbors try to understand their culture, the more the women feel content with their mind and body.
Fourth, the social welfare service usability model to find how it influences on the physical and mental health satisfaction is concluded as below. Only the Philippine females have statistically meaningful result based on the control variable affect, the healthier the migrant are, the more they feel satisfactory. About the relation between the number of used social welfare service and the physical and mental satisfaction, if the women have used more kind of social welfare facilities, the lower satisfaction in physics and mentality has been discovered. In addition, to see how using the related service influences on the physical and mental health satisfaction, people who have used the physical and mental related services feel less complacency than those who haven't. However, these two factors don't show any statistical meaningful differences.
Fifth, the integrated model which all the variable including population-sociological feature, economic status, social support, social welfare facility usability are applied to the control variable is as below. In the respect of the control variable influence, in case of nationality, the migrants from China and the Philippine have more physical and mental health satisfaction than those from other countries as previously stated individual model. What is more, the statistically significant difference of this model is discovered on the academic background that didn't imply any meaningful difference on the existing models. Provided that other variables are controlled, regarding the independence variable influence, population-sociological feature variables show the statistical significance in the age difference. No conspicuous change has been found on the result of model 2, when the financial level at this time is higher than that in their native country, the physical and mental health satisfaction decreases. Examining the social supporting factors, when the migrant women have more Korean friends they can talk to and the neighbors try to understand their culture harder, their physical and mental health satisfaction gets higher. In case the migrant females have used more social welfare facilities and the mental and health services, they feel less mental satisfaction, which means that it's not the statistically meaningful result such as the individual model
