“LianMianZiPu(the binome’s collection)” is the one of the best works of WangGuoWei from Qing Dynasty (1877–1928)in China. He left lots of works in Philosophy, Esthetics, Literature and Phonology. “LianMianZiPu” is meaningful in the world of Chinese Linguistics since he collected more than 30 Chinese Literature sources through the way of historical investigation. Even though he passed through his tough personal life as his mother and first wife have gone early and he also killed himself at the Kun Ming lake in Beijing in his 50, his tremendous works should be considered “masterpieces” by the decendents in the field of modern Chinese Linguistics.
Let me introduce his work “LianMianZiPu”. There are three parts in LianMianZiPu. One is same‐initial(S), another is reiterative‐final(D), and the last one is NonSD.
In each part from my research through Korean‐Chinese dictionaries, there are most of the Korean words which are used in same‐initial(S). But there are lesser words of Korean in the other 2 parts of both reiterative‐final and the NonSD. Apart from the fact there are more than 70 percents of Chinese words living in the Korean language, there are not so many Korean common words which are available in modern Korean language found in this work.
I would like to compare the words which are used in Korean oral language and to study how many words are similar and how they are used. I would like to do the same exercise also as for the Korean written language.
I hope that this research would help in understanding the similarities and differences between Chinese and Korean in Linguistics.
