The aim of this study is to develop a korean teaching and learning method applying Education drama for youth overseas korean who are studying korean language.
Recently, the interested in Korean language education for overseas korean Language learners has been growing. Various cultural topic and teaching method about korean language education has been discussed.
However, few studies on the population of overseas Korean learners effective teaching method have ever shown.
The good command of language, which is the target of korean language education, is a kind of creative thinking functionality that requires language into the meaning and meaning into language via language activities.
Thus, the studies making the most of language education or culture education as learning method and material has been actively carried out.
In order to improve youth overseas korean communication ability which requires teaching language and culture in same time to help solve identity confusion problem and facilitate their assimilation into korean society.
In this study, active participation of students are highly promoted and they are recommended to cooperate ability through in resolving a problem so that they can improve their language ability and understand culture through the educational Drama methodology.
Some educational drama methodologies are suggested in terms of improvement of korean language use ability by assuming that the ability for using language is advanced when letting student behave as they has been experienced and to use language as they has been spoken.
Therefore, Educational Drama method is good way to learn language and could expect better result in overseas Korean language learners.
Chapter 1 present existing studies on the possibility of using educational drama , reason for the necessity of using korean language education, and the objectives of this study.
Chapter 2 deals with the detailed concept and significance of educational drama and present the learning theories that can provide the theoretical basis for effectiveness of educational drama.
