Objects of Study: Worker and Migrant Women
Today, there are about 60,000 Vietnamese people who are working and living at Korea. They include workers, immigrant women, oversea students and businessmen. In this thesis, the student would like to concentrate her study on Missionary Strategy for Workers and Immigrant Women.
Objects of Study:
First of all, since 1990 Vietnamese workers have worked at 3D fields (Difficult, Dangerous and Dirty). To escape from poverty in their own country, they have to go abroad and labor in developed countries. They do not only work in dirty environments but also difficult works, even harmful to their bodies. After a long period of work, Korean bosses highly evaluate their contributions because of their hard-work, creativity, and intelligence. Out of forgeiner workers, the Vietnamese workers are regarded as the leading group in Korea.
Today, there are almost 24,000 Vietnamese workers in Korea, 27% of total 10 countries that have foreign workers. Monthly, there are 1,000 Vietnamese who come to work in Korea. On June 1st, 2007, the Korean Ministry of Labor has recently issued a new policy that allows Korean companies to extend contracts with foreign workers and vocationary students within length of time as the previous contracts. It was a good sign todecrease number of decampment workers.
Besides the re-employed workers, many workers who finished their contracts still remain in Korea because there are few jobs for them at home or they have to choose farming works. Most of them have to flee and workillegally. They have to deal with many problems such as bosses’ refusals of paying salary, health, and accomodations. ,. . For example, their bosses refuse to pay salaryy aresuch as houses, : refusing to pay salary, place to eat and lodge, health… They have to live illegally.
Secondly, according to the 2006 Statistics, out of 332,752 wedding ceremonies, there are 39,690 weddings with foreigners (11,9%). Number of Korean males who get married with foreign females are 32,208 people (81%). This case is more increasing. Vietnamese brides face many difficulties such as abuses of human right, barriers of language, culture, children bearing, social predetermination, etc.
Moreover, they also have another burden of their family in Vietnam –how to overcome poverty and pay debts. With this reason, most of them want to work, so they can help their family. Opposite to what they thought, most of all Korea men who get married with foreign women are living in the countryside. They want to their wives to take care of their own parents and to do housework. This is the reason for breakingup many married couples.
Third, base on the above findings, the effective ways to bring them to GOD is to initiatively make friend with them and to help them in their difficulty. By talking about their work, sharing their difficulties and teaching Korean, they will have chance to know about GOD’s love and how to become HIS son and have eternal life. There have been many of them have faith in GOD, whom has changed their life. Eventually they bared fruits for HIM.
In conclusion, most of the Vietnamese workers in Korea will return to Vietnam when they finish their contract. They will become a great potential human resource for the Vietnamese evangelical churches generally and specially for the North of Vietnam. In the future, they will take parts to develop the churches and become pastors or assistants in the churches.

Đối tượng nghiên cứu chính: Phụ nữ nhập cư và Người lao động.
Hiện nay ở Hàn Quốc có khoảng 60.000 người Việt nam đang làm việc và sinh sống tại đất nước này. Gồm có người lao động, phụ nữ di trú, du học sinh, và thương gia... Trong luận văn này chủ yếu chỉ đề cập đến 2 thành phần chính là người lao động và phụ nữ nhập cư
Những vấn đề được nghiên cứu trong bài khóa luận này như sau:
Thứ nhất, Đối với người lao động: Từ năm 1990 họ lao động trong các ngành 3D(difficult- khó, dangerous- nguy hiểm, dirty-bẩn). Để thoát khỏi sự nghèo đói tại đất nước mình, họ phải đến những đất nước có tiềm năng về kinh tế làm những công việc khó nhọc và nguy hiểm đối với tính mạng. Sau một thời gian làm việc ở đây người lao động Việt Nam được chủ sử dụng Hàn Quốc đánh giá rất cao ở sự chăm chỉ, cần mẫn và óc sáng tạo. Số lao động Việt Nam được ký hợp đồng đang đứng đầu trong 10 nước cùng tham gia.
Hiện tại Hàn Quốc có gần 24 nghìn lao động Việt Nam đang làm việc, chiếm tỷ lệ hơn 27% tổng số lao động của 10 nước nhập cảnh vào Hàn Quốc. Hiện nay, mỗi tháng có khoảng 1.000 lao động Việt Nam sang Hàn Quốc làm việc. Đặc biệt, theo chính sách mới do Bộ Lao động Hàn Quốc ban hành, từ ngày 1/6/2007 trở đi, các doanh nghiệp Hàn Quốc nếu có nhu cầu sẽ được tái tuyển dụng với lao động và tu nghiệp sinh nước ngoài. Do vậy người lao động sau khi kết thúc hợp đồng có thể sẽ được làm thêm thời gian tối đa như hợp đồng cũ. Đây là tín hiệu tốt làm giảm tỷ lệ lao động Việt Nam bỏ trốn khỏi hợp đồng tại Hàn Quốc.
Bên cạnh đó, có những người lao động sau khi hết hạn hợp đồng nhiều người trong số họ không được ký lại hợp đồng nhưng chưa muốn trở về nhà, vì khi trở về nhà họ không biết phải làm gì, hoặc phải đối mặt với công việc đồng áng. Nên họ trốn ra ngoài để có thể tiếp tục làm việc ở Hàn Quốc. Khi ra ngoài làm việc họ phải đối diện với nhiều vấn đề như: phải làm những công việc khó nhọc và nguy hiểm, bị quỵt tiền lương, bắt buộc làm việc ngoài giờ qui định, chổ ở, việc đi lại, sức khoẻ.... Họ phải sống chui nhủi vì sợ bị bắt về nước.
Thứ hai, Phụ nữ nhập cư : Theo tài liệu của Cục thống kê năm 2006, trong tổng số 332.752 cuộc kết hôn có 39.690 cuộc kết hôn quốc tế chiếm tỷ lệ 11,9%. Trong số đó, con số kết hôn giữa nam giới Hàn Quốc và phụ nữ ngoại quốc là 32,208 cuộc, chiếm 81% trong tổng số cuộc kết hôn quốc tế. Trong những năm gần đây con số này cứ tiếp tục gia tăng. Cuộc sống của những cô dâu Việt nam gặp rất nhiều khó khăn như việc bị lạm dụng nhân quyền, ngăn trở về ngôn ngữ, khó khăn trong việc giáo dục con c&aac
