However, the level of satisfaction from local residents and visitors is getting worse even though local festival is one of major strategies of local government. The support from the local community is essential for success of the local festival so a local attachment and participation of local community is emphasized. Therefore, for developing and succeeding of local festival, one needed to analyze how much impact does the effect of local festival which local community is perceived from on the local community attachment have. Though the participation of local festival is essential factor for study of the local festival area, previous study was not done enough. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify how the effect of local festival affect to local community attachment and participation of local festival. Accomplishing the purpose of this study, previous studies on effects of festival, local community attachment and participation of festival are theoretically restudied and recasted hypothesis. To accomplish the purpose of this study, data were collected from people who live in Bonghaw where Bonghaw sweet fish festival was held. Using the self-administered questionnaire survey method, Questionnaires were distributed to bus terminal, traditional market and festival place from 30th of July to 3rd of August in 2016. Frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, simple regression and multiple regression analyses were utilized to analyze the data using SPSS 23.0 program. The results are followed At first, the impact between the effect of festival and the local community attachment was significant. Economic effect, social cultural effect and environmental effect had impact on dependency, identity and social acquaintance. This results suggested the effect of festival has positive and negative impact on local residents. Also, economic effect didn’t have impact on dependency, identity and social acquaintance because the local residents could not have direct economical benefit from Bonghaw sweet fish festival. The environmental effect did not have impact on identity and social acquaintance. This result suggests the life style of residents are not affected by a clean area and clean environment in Bonhaw. The social cultural effect had impact on dependency, identity and social acquaintance. This results showed residents believe developing local culture is the best way to elevate local attachment. The environmental effect had impact on dependency. At second, the impact between local attachment and participation of festival was significant. Dependency, identity and social acquaintance had impact on participation of festival. This results suggested the more local attachment they have, the more positive attitude on participation of festival. Therefore, one argued the key fact of success of local festival and last of local festival is positive attitude on participation of festival from local residents. For taking that, local government needs to make a plan which can affect local community positively.
