The main purpose of this work is to identify and illustrate possibilities of a new urban society and its subjects on the basis and by means of dialecticising the relationship between speed and rhythm, more specifically and theoretically those between the dromological analysis and rhythmanalysis. To achieve the goal as such, the work not only analyses the social production of Busan as a colonial dromosphere but examines possibilities of its decolonisation. The central idea penetrating the work is 'from struggles to wars, and from the wars to possibilities of new struggles'. Within this framework, there are two presuppositions each of which responds to the former and latter part of the idea: one is that the possibilities of the new struggles against speed have been reduced, and the other is that they can be re-raised by the dialecticisation. For, from the viewpoint that the city is the battlefield of those struggles and wars, the disappearance of subjects and collapse of urban communities, and their rebirth and rebuilding are assumed between the former and latter ideas. Based on the abovementioned presuppositions and assumptions, the work chooses Lefebvre's methodology of the analytic-regressive and genetic-progressive approach to Busan's history of having become a colonial dromosphere since the early 20th century and to Busan as a new urban and civil society in the future respectively. The methodology is basically dialectical in two regards: first, it makes it possible to dialecticise the dromological analysis and rhythmanalysis as mentioned earlier; second, and as a result of the previous one, it allows us both to carry out a historical analysis of under what conditions the present has become as it is and to open ourselves to the future possibilities of the new society and its subjects. This leads to another dialectics, or more precisely speaking, a trialetics between the real, the impossible, and the possible. What is important in this respect is that the distinction between the impossible and possible can be made and recognised only by praxis which is entirely up to us, and thus, remains an open question for us to answer. Therefore, it appears to be essential for us to see under what conditions we are at the moment and what inner contradictions between the dromological structure and the rhythmical subject can be revealed by our praxises. In terms of this work's future implications, it needs to be said that the possibly dialectical situation mentioned above would also be deeply related to social acceleration. For this reason, what implications the situation would have for Busan, its potential citizens, and even its locality studies in the future should be continuously examined and understood within the framework of dialecticising the relationship between speed and rhythm. Moreover, the tentative results stemming from the examination and understanding would have to be tested by our own praxises, which would also have to be tried relentlessly. Otherwise, any social practice of producing a theory would be useless, as Lefebvre puts it, "Thought strengthens itself only if it enters into practice: into use".
