There are several factors obstructing the development of Korean studies in Thailand such as the lack of Korean teachers and specialists, the insufficiency of teachers’ capacities, and the lack of academic research about Korean education for Thai students. The principles mentioned earlier can also be used as a criteria or standards of textbook analysis in the later chapter. However, only four culture textbooks were found to have been currently using in Korean cultural classes in two universities in Thailand, while the rest institutions required their instructors to provide themselves materials for culture classes. The materials used for analysis are「Today’s Korea」, 「Korean society and culture」, 「Korean language and culture」 and 「Korean culture」. The results gained from analysis shows that Thai students generally learned about Korean daily life culture the most, followed by ethnicity and systems such as education, laws, administration, etc. Whereas, there are great demands of Korean pop culture, modern `culture and society, and social phenomenons among Thai students.
