In preparation for tremendous change in society, a mountain burial is getting crucial instead of placing remains in a facility. There are some ways of managing human remains; a woodland burial, a nature burial, a mountain burial, a charnel house. Many people might have heard about the woodland burial, the nature burial and the charnel house because they have become easy to approach. However not many people know the mountain burial and a field of ashes, in fact they do not exactly know what they mean. Field of ashes are located in almost all of regional crematorium and it is used average 4 – 5 times in a day (2015, Seoul memorial park). But the thing field of ashes are not even registered as terminology and considered as same concept as the mountain burial. In addition, the mountain burial and a field of ashes are not defined by a country’s laws in regard to funeral. Thus a differentiation and a definition of the mountain burial and a field of ashes are required.
