From the 2000's, a period to release a variety of contents attracting the world’s attention, Korea’s competitiveness became even more enhanced through the World Cup, the Korean Wave involving K-pop, Korea’s advanced technology, and quality design, which indeed formed a drive for our culture and design growth. However, still, ‘Korean-style design’ is fundamentally regarded as ‘design claiming to support our original tradition’. Therefore, it is needed to go through a process to see if Korean culture is really appropriate to be developed as the world’s initiative culture. Accordingly, this study is going to examine the development trends of Korean-style fashion design by time profoundly in order to find out ways to develop Korean-style fashion design at this point when the world is noticing Korean culture. As a study method, literature review has been done to consider the concept and characteristics of Korean-style fashion design, and then, this author has examined its development trends in the 1990’s, 2000, and 2010's, arranged Korean-style images and expression types applied as formative elements into three steps, provided implications and suggestions, and systematized a frame to analyze the current status of Korean-style fashion design. Based on that, this researcher has conducted design analysis on 111 fashion images and performed an expert in-depth interview to four 1st generation designers who first used the name of Korean-style fashion design and are still working on it. By that, this study has examined how the society and culture have changed from the 1990's up to 2016 in accordance with the situations of times, gap between theory and practice, and the characteristics of Korean-style fashion design demanded now. Based on that, finally, this author suggests the grounds necessary to predict the direction of developing Korean-style fashion design demanded currently. First, according to the results about the development trends of Korean-style fashion design, in the 1990's, they applied our original and traditional elements in exterior dimensions and tried modernized design. In the 2000's, they practiced design to express intrinsic elements such as mentality or ideology, and in the 2010's, they showed universal taste design following the global fashion, which means that it has changed stepwise by time. Second, according to the results of analyzing Korean-style images applied to the forms, colors, materials, or ornaments of formative elements in fashion design, regardless of time, our traditional costume, ‘hanbok’, has occupied the largest part up until now. Also, the time is limited to Chosun. Third, this researcher classified Korean-style fashion design cases from different times into three types, the reproduction, transformation, and reinterpretation of original forms, in accordance with the degree of modernizing the original forms of tradition elements. About the types of expression, in the 1990's, the reproduction of original forms was mainly used to imitate or borrow the forms of tradition elements from the past directly. In the 2000's and 2010's, with the transformation of original forms, they created a Korean mood through colors or patterns. In other words, unlike Korean-style fashion design’s development trends changing rapidly to time, we can see that research on the categories or expression types of Korean-style images as nuclear design contents has not been extended stepwise but just fixed in its use. Therefore, this study is significant in that it has examined the characteristics of Korean-style fashion design by time and laid the foundation to extend the categories of Korean-style images as design contents. ，韩语论文范文，韩语论文题目 |
