현대 문명의 발달로 이룩한 산업사회는 획일화된 주체로 인간 스스로를 인식하게 하였고 이것은 인간의 본질적 삶에 대한 갈등으로 나타나게 되었다. 이에 인간은 생명의 근원인 자연으로 돌아가고자 하였고 이러한 움직임은 조형예술에 영향을 주어 자연에 대한 동향을 모티브로 상징적 언어를 표출하기 시작하였다.
예술은 상징적 표출을 통해 그들의 사상을 전달하고 문화의 한 영역으로 대중을 이끄는 선각자 역할을 수행한다. 이에 본 연구는 이러한 역할을 장신구를 통해 보여주고자 하였으며 새로운 흥미와 활력을 전해주는 대상으로 표현하고자 하였다.
현대의 많은 예술가들은 대중을 고려하지 않은 자기표현을 하며 그들의 사상을 일방적으로 전달하는 오류를 범하고 있다. 이에 연구자는 교감장신구에 대한 연구의 필요성을 인지하고 교감장신구를 이루기 위한 적용방법은 모색하고자 하였다.
본 연구를 통해 도출된 장신구는 작가, 착용자, 관찰자 사이의 상호작용을 통해 교류가 일어나고 서로 간 완벽한 이해가 이루어졌을 때 교감이 되며, 이때 비로서 조형예술의 한 부분으로 그 역할이 수행되었다 볼 수 있다.
조형연구의 대상은 바람으로 비가시적 물질로써 상징적 형상을 통해 느낄 수 있다. 바람은 ‘서로가 관계를 맺어 인지하고 사고를 통해 받아들인다’는 교감의 의미에 부합하는 적절한 조형 표현 대상으로 다양한 상징적, 운동성을 가지며 감성을 자극하는 조형대상으로서 미적 가능성이 풍부한 소재이다.
본 연구는 보버트의 풍력계급표의 바람 단계에 따라 바람의 유기적 움직임을 조형화하고자 하였으며 이를 통해 교감에 이르는 방법을 대해 서술하고 새로운 활력이자, 의식의 환기를 이루는 조형 예술로서의 역할을 장신구 디자인을 통해 보여주고자 하였다.

The industrial society that resulted from development of modern civilization led humans to recognize themselves as a unified being and created fundamental conflict of human life. As a result, people began to want to return to the nature, the source of life, and this movement influenced plastic art, which began to express symbolic language based on motifs related to the nature.
Art acts as a pioneer of delivering the ideas of the public and leading them to an area of culture through symbolic expressions. This study attempted to show this role of art through accessories, which were expressed as a provider of new interest and energy.
Today, many artists make a mistake of expressing themselves without considering the public and delivering their ideas in a one-sided way. Therefore, I recognized the necessity of research on communication accessories and investigated the relevant application method.
The accessory that resulted from this study enables communication through interaction and complete understanding among the artist, user, and observer, and this is how it serves its role as a part of plastic art.
The subject of the plastic art research was wind, which is an invisible matter and can be felt through a symbolic form. Wind is an appropriate subject of plastic art as it is linked to the meaning of communication that people form a relationship and recognize and accept each other through thinking, and has much aesthetic potential for their various symbolic and dynamic characteristics.
This study attempted to turn organic movement of wind according to the levels in Beaufort wind scale into an artwork, and explained the way to reach communication based on the artwork. Also, it used accessory design to show the role of plastic art as a source of new energy and awareness.
