Purpose: This study was designed to verify the relationships among factors related to patient safety and hospital managerial performance. And, to identify the factors influencing managerial performance of hospital nurses. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used, with a convenience sample of 393 nurses from seven general hospitals. The tools used for this study were scales measuring hospital managerial performances, perception of importance on patient safety management, patient safety culture, safety performance. Data was collected through self-evaluation questionnaires from April to May, 2016. The data were analyzed using the descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients and stepwise miltiple regression using the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. Results: There were significantly positive relationships between hospital managerial performances and perception of importance on patient safety management, patient safety culture, safety performance. Factors influencing hospital managerial performances in the hospital nurses were identified as patient safety culture (β=.338), Working hospital type (advanced general hospital) (β=.311), and safety performance (β=.202). These factors explained 38.9% of the variance in hospital managerial performances in hospital nurses. Conclusion: The results on this study can be used to develop further management strategies for enhancement of hospital managerial performances.
