This study analyzed and researched the handmade Tea Pots of the researcher with the theme of Chinese traditional dwelling houses. In addition, the introduction explains the purpose of the study, necessity, and the research method. Chapter 3 is to understand the overall Chinese traditional dwelling houses through consideration about Chinese traditional dwelling houses per each region. Furthermore, Chapter 4 describes the formative characteristic of Tea Pots by generation and history of Chinese Tea Pots, and it is to identify the characteristic of Chinese Traditional Tea Pots before creating the modern Tea Pots. Also, Chapter 5 considered the work of 5 Chinese modern artists based on the Chinese traditional dwelling houses. The researcher analyzed the characteristic of the artists based on Chinese traditional dwelling houses through their works and tried to ask for help from their creations. The purpose of the study is concerned about aesthetic analysis on each work and the production process of modern Tea Pots based on courtyard type, cave type, beautiful stream type, Tulou type, and extensive type Chinese traditional dwelling houses. As a result, the following conclusion was derived on the aesthetic concept and characteristic of handmade Tea Pots of this researcher. The handmade Tea Pots created by this researcher has this meaning. The modern Tea Pots is not a practical Tea Pots anymore, but it is a creation of a new way of expressing ceramics as a modern sculptural language. Also, this researcher was able to consider the superiority, culture, and history of Chinese traditional dwelling houses through the creation process of handwork Tea Pots. Through this, the researcher discovered the possibility to open a new world of creation that is combined with the traditional beauty and modern beauty of China. Furthermore, researcher was able to extract “beauty of irregular color”, “formative beauty of military gathering that symbolizes homes”, and “beauty of straight lines and curves” in the process of analyzing the works. This research is the expression on the two traditional cultures, which are the expressions of the researcher about the two items including Chinese traditional dwelling houses and Tea Pots, and it is also an experiment on the Chinese modern ceramics work. More importantly, The feeling at the moment of creating the works became a medium to the researcher. Furthermore, this work was an expression and growth process of the researcher. Thus, it was a way to express in artistic language with individuality about the thoughts and emotions of the artist. In Chinese traditional dwelling houses, harmony with the nature, reasonability between surrounding buildings, cooperation of components inside the house, family, succession of village culture, and sociality exist. By arranging and reforming these cultures and by using new methods to apply them in creating ceramic Tea Pots, So it is necessary to make deeper analysis and research on the historical culture of Tea Pots and the Chinese traditional dwelling houses. The combination of the two, and it will help in forming unique and artistic language of own along with a new type of work. The reason for the researcher created modern Tea Pots based on Chinese traditional dwelling houses which was from the visual and auditory data seen during class while studying in Korea. By encountering the data, the researcher’s knowledge concern about modern art and modern ceramics became broadened, and the understanding about modern art also became deeper, and deeper Through these processes, the researcher felt the attraction of creating modern Tea Pots by rejecting practicality, and decided to become the foundation of future’s Chinese modern ceramics. As a result of this research, it is very important to research about kiln. Especially, by repeating research about “contingency of fire”, the beauty of irregular ceramics was to be fulfilled. Most ceramics are created with results of completely different color due to the result of fire and characteristic of clay. Potters have argued about the necessity on continuous research about the “taste of fire” and “taste of clay’ endlessly to obtain characteristic of these colors. A conclusion of another research is that future-oriented Chinese modern ceramics need to combine with Chinese traditional culture. With no tradition modern ceramics can't have long vitality. The current Chinese modern ceramics holds the undistinguished western ceramic arts. Thus, based on the pride Chinese ceramics, modern ceramics with Chinese elements is the best way.
