외래어란 외국의 말이 들어와서 자국어에 동화되어 그 나라의 말처럼 사용되는 말이다. 외래어가 생겨나고 존재하는 것은 다른 나라들 간의 경제·문화 교류 및 그로 인한 상호 언어의 영향으로 생겨난 필연적인 현상이다. 특히 우리가 살고 있는 현대사회는 국제화 시대로 국가 간의 관계가 밀접하고 교류도 활발하여 세계 어느 나라에서나 많은 외래어와 접하면서 생활하고 있다. 이러한 외래어가 일상생활에 큰 영향을 미치고 있는 것은 부정할 수 없는 사실이다. 중국어와 일본어에는 모두 외래어가 존재한다. 그리고 중국과 일본은 모두 한자권 문화에 속하는 나라이다. 이와 같이 같은 한자문자를 공유하고 있는 중·일 양국에서 외래어가 어떻게 사용되고 있는지, 외래어를 어떻게 받아들이고 있는지에 대한 학문적 호기심으로 인해 중·일 외래어에 대해 비교·대조 고찰하게 되었다. 어휘의 선정은 중국에서 출판되어 일본어 원문과 중국어 번역문이 동시에 나와 있는「天聲人語」라는 책에 나오는 외래어 351개 어를 중심으로 다루었다. 일본 朝日新聞 칼럼「天聲人語」는 일본 국내외 이슈(정치, 경제, 외교, 문화 등)에 대한 날카로운 비판 정신을 국민의 입장에서 명문이면서도 누구나 쉽게 읽을 수 있는 문장으로 표현해 일본의 여러 분야의 내용을 습득하는데 용이하다. 따라서 본고는 중·일 양국의 외래어를 대상으로 일본 3대 신문의 하나인 朝日新聞의 고정기사中 하나인「天聲人語」라는 고정칼럼에 나타난 일본어 외래어에 대응하는 중국어 외래어를 비교, 분석함으로서 중·일 외국어 학습자들이 외래어를 학습할 때 조금이나마 도움이 되었으면 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 서론에서는 중·일 외래어의 정의, 외래어가 유입된 역사배경, 도입방식 등에 대해서 서술하였고, 종래의 연구에 대해 조사, 정리하였다.
본론에서는 중·일 양국의 외래어를 대상으로 일본 朝日新聞의「天聲人語」의 일본어 외래어를 중심으로 각 단어의 어원을 밝혀,「天聲人語」중에는 어떤 외래어 유형들이 있는지 원어별로 나누어 분석하여 외래어 특징을 살펴보았다. 그리고 중·일 양국에서 공통으로 사용된 외래어는 어떠한 유형들이 있는지, 일본에서 사용되는 외래어가 중국에서는 어떻게 사용되고 있는지 그 도입방식을 유형별로 분석, 수량으로 제시하여 구체적 사용실태를 살펴보았다. 결론에서는「天聲人語」속의 일본어 외래어와 대응하는 중국어 외래어의 분석을 통해 알 수 있는 점, 앞으로의 과제에 등에 대해 언급하였다. 중국이나 일본에서 외래어가 사용되고 있다는 것은 한 나라의 언어를 제대로 이해하기 위해서는 외래어에 대한 지식도 반드시 필요하다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 본 연구가 중·일 외국어 학습자들이 외래어를 학습하는데 있어서 초석(礎石)이 되었으면 한다.

Loan words are the foreign language that is adapted to native language then used as native language. The reason for beginning and present of loan words is interchange of economies and culture of other countries and is inevitable phenomenon that comes from effects of interaction of languages. Specially the modern society that we are living now, meets many foreign languages with close relation between nations and with active exchange in any country in the world. It is undeniable factor that these loan words had huge effects to our life.
There is loan words in both China and Japan. And both China and Japan are in culture that use of Chinese characters. In this manner, I compare and consider that how both China and Japan in culture that use of Chinese characters, use loan words and how they adapt that with curiosity. I used 351 loan words from「VoxPopuli VoxDei」 which published in China and Japanese as original and Chinese as translation in market, for selection of vocabulary.「VoxPopuli VoxDei」, a Japanese column from asahi shimbun, is good to learn for various parts of Japan since it uses sentences that is easy to understand, with issues (politics, diplomacy, culture and etc) in and out of Japan in the point of peoples in Japan in spirit of sharp criticism. So this article based on loan language in both China and Japan has purpose that to help language learners of Chinese and Japanese by comparing Chinese loan words with Japanese loan words in「VoxPopuli VoxDei」, one of the article from asahi shimbun, one of three major news in Japan. In introduction, I describe definition of loan words in China and Japan, historical backgrounds of inflow of loan words, way of inflow and etc. and also investigate and arrange the existing research. In body, I examine characteristic of loan words differentiated by each original language among「VoxPopuli VoxDei」based on loan words in China and Japan, centered loan words in Japan in「VoxPopuli VoxDei」from asahi shimbun. And I examine specific uses with suggesting by parts and numbers of ways of inflow like, what are the types of loan words that used in both China and Japan, and how the loan words in Japan used in China. In conclusion, I mention things that known by analyzing loan words in China that correspond with loan words in Japan from「VoxPopuli VoxDei」, and previous problems. There is meaning that to understand one's language we need to study loan words since there is loan words in China and Japan. Therefore I hope that this research is being foundation of that learner for foreign languages studying loan words of that country.
