In this project, learning the correct English pronunciation of loanwords used in Korea is introduced as it has not yet been sufficiently developed as a subject of English language learning. A difference in phonology and the two language systems is revealed within the loanwords being assimilated into Korean; it has necessitated the learning of how to pronounce loanwords in English for communication. The aim is to study the sounds of English to help Koreans acquire proper English pronunciation through listening comprehension, especially those which most Koreans have problems with. Based on a learner-centered approach, drilling, phonology study, listening activities and exercises are presented on this Website to those who want to improve their pronunciation of loanwords and to check common loanwords’ English pronunciation as a sound dictionary.
