ABSTRACT The purpose of this dissertation is for foreign students studying in Korea, especially, Chinese students, majoring in the areas relating to pop music vocal, to develop vocal training programs with systematic theories and methodologies for Korean vowel vocalization. The education method of this dissertation can be defined as ‘Vowel oriented vocalization of bel canto vocal’. Bel canto means ‘beautiful (bel)’ and ‘singing (canto)’. It is classical vocalization which was created in 17C and 18C in Italy and it was prevalent in early 19C through Opera. This kind of vocalization pursues a way of singing with relax voice as it vocalizes thorough free resonance from vocal folds. In other words, as it is ideal vocalization for the voice itself, it is used in all the vocal music these days. Bel canto vocalization condenses into “Singing in maschera”, “Singing with opening”, “Singing in one position”, and “Singing with correct vowels”. Especially for accuracy of vowels, bel canto represents seven Italian vowels. It presents two unique vowels ‘e’ as a palatal sound and ‘o’ as a closed sound besides five Italian basic vowels, ‘i, e, a, o, u’. In conclusion, bel canto vocalization seeks opened and free sound through the correct performance and vocalization of Italian vowels. Hence, in the first session of the teaching method, this dissertation focuses on learners to get correct vocalization of Korean vowels. In the second session, I present bel canto vocalization to help learners to acquire basic vocal skills for Korean songs. With these two sessions, this dissertation represents the following detail objectives. 1. To master basic vocal elements: breath, resonance and pose. 2. To perceive their own vocal resisters about 5 vowels [i, e, a, o, u] and create their own lines. 3. To recognize the passage of sounds regarding the place of articulation of Korean vowels when combining melody. 4. To train learners to pronounce correctly and to use musical expressions and skills easily with Ari-rang and other K-pops. In the first session, I identify Korean and Chinese vowel system by using International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) and suggest the method for learners to recognize the differences about verbal interactions for correct vocalization of Korean vowels. Especially unlike Korean, Chinese consists of consonants, vowels and intonation. In Chinese syllable, the consonants and vowels which comparatively placed in the front of the mouth have lots of apicodentals. This aspect of Chinese is considered as a disadvantage to do vocal music. Therefore, it is essential to provide learners with vowel chart to get the differences between the vowels of two languages, Korean and Chinese. Also, the learners can use this knowledge as a theoretical background. I introduced ‘soritgil’, a kind of teaching method, which is for learners to know the vocal track of vowels as a way of specific realization of vowels. Soritgil is the vocal education training for Korean vowels using a concept of a vocal track. This teaching method helps learners to practice each vowels, ‘i, e, a, o, u’, which was specifically emphasized to get a sense of vocal track. I chose Arirang as the song for the training session. The percentage of using rounded vowels is high in the song, Arirang. This feature makes foreigners to recognize Korean vowels’ sounds and places much more easily. Therefore, Arirang takes an advantage to understand not only a Korean temperament underlying Korean songs but also Korean culture, sentiment, and Korean traditional music. In the second session, I selected eight K-POP songs which are famous in China and presented the vowel-oriented teaching method for the application to the real education fields. In conclusion, the vocalization method based on bel canto vocalization which was proposed in this dissertation provides learners with understanding of bel canto vocalization which was recognized as an essential notion to vocalists. Furthermore, bel canto vocalization also considers breath, vowels and other concepts the basic factors because these elements are the beginning and the end of the vocalization. In this context, the vowel-oriented teaching method based on bel canto vocalization will help vocalists to understand how to vocalize by themselves and how to make sounds with right respiration. Moreover, why this dissertation is highly significant is to suggest the authentic teaching method to the educational arena. ,韩语论文,韩语论文范文 |
