In the late 1990‘s, the term 'multiculturalism' gradually began to emerge from academia to domestic. This term is mainly related to identity education in response to the rapidly changing globalization phenomenon, recognition of cultural diversity in post modernist approach, and the introduction of foreign workers and a single nationalistic system rooted in Korean society. Currently, there are four categories of Korean society multicultural characteristics. These are the foreign workers, marriage immigrants, overseas Koreans, and North Korean defectors. They are classified as vulnerable in our society and are supported by the nation. After the establishment of the Korea Culture and Arts Foundation in February 2005 and the enactment of the "Culture and Arts Education Support Act" in December of the same year, the government has emphasized the real need for "vision, localization, and realization of culture and arts education, and for the socially vulnerable classes, there is not much interest in the area of culture and art as compared to other welfare areas such as basic livelihood security and medical security." Lee, Hye-seung, [Analysis on the Promotion of the Cultural Welfare Project for the Vulnerable Classes], Seoul: Audit Reasearch Institute2 2011. The point is continuing. In this study, we investigate the extent to which married immigrant women participate in arts and culture education, and conduct an in-depth interviews focusing on the satisfaction of the participants, and suggested ways to improve the effectiveness and analysis of cultural arts education for married immigrant women. The common characteristics of cultural arts education for married immigrant women currently ongoing are as follows. First, instead of seriously worrying about the meaning of multiple communications required by 'multicultural society', we are learning migrants as a simple policy object and conducting education. Second, all programs focus on Korean cultural education programs regardless of the country of origin of married migrant women. They learn the homogenized education through Korean culture and arts experience programs such as Korean food, traditional arts, etiquette, and cultural heritage exploration. Third, there are many programs in government departments that are common and overlapping in the Korean language. Fourth, the absence of pure cultural art enjoyment program. Cultural enjoyment is a part of many areas of culture, but today's most basic cultural activities in which consumption and production of culture are not strictly separated. As a result of the interview, most of the respondents answered, marriage immigrant women who have lived in Korea for more than 5 years have no confidence in the programs they had at the Multicultural Family Support Center and that they go because it’s for free. Raised problems are the performance-oriented program with no persistence that can not exceed 8 times, one-to-many teaching method, same level of program regardless of residence period of migrant women, same duplication program wherever you go, and the neglected attitude of the center which ignores the opinions of married immigrant women. The biggest problem is the truth that there is no place for married immigrant women to listen to their opinions. Therefore, this study approached as follows to improve the effectiveness of culture and arts education for married immigrant women. First, it is not about collecting and targeting marriage migrant women but we need a program structure that can be done with Koreans. Furthermore, it is necessary to support each marriage migrant woman to be the subject of active self-directed growth. Especially, it is urgent to develop professional contents considering the cultural diversity of the countries where marriage migrant women come from. In addition, culture and arts education should be educated in principle to ensure rational and sustainable effects. Therefore, programs that are organized as short-term activities should be avoided, and multicultural festivals and event programs should be developed in a long-term perspective and plan, rather than exhibition administrative events. Culture is an area that identifies individual identity and expresses creativity and at the same time, it defines the way of life as a group. Therefore, in order to improve the quality of life, the opportunity of enjoyment should be expanded considering the cultural conditions of married migrant women. In view of this long-term and macroscopic goal, the government departments not only identify the necessary institutional support in each sector, but also expected to provide more efficient support for the effectiveness of the cultural arts education for married immigrant women.
